Considering the new 12th gen i7 12700 with a 3060 and 6 cell 86W battery would most of the issues u highlighted in the video be resolved?

Definitely, the battery issue itself was fixed in the later versions. Add an additional 8 GB or more ram to the new configuration and this is a very good laptop for the price.
