Rear Brake Service and inspection on Toyota Hilux Mk6 Mk7 Vigo

In this video we take a look at the rear brakes on our Toyota Hilux Mk6 and adjust the brakes and clean the brake drums.

Mk 6 and Mk 7 are years 2005-2011 and 2012 onwards for people in Australia as Mk and Vigo not used here.

I think the previous owner must've loved handbrake turns or something considering I have to have the hand brake at maximum erection to keep it from rolling. Definitively opening up the drum next week, great video!.

Just noticed the handbrake lever is far forward indicating the handbrake cable is over adjusted. This will affect the way the self adjuster works. Most probably why the shoes are not adjusting themselves.
