Very nice mashine! I have same one. Its working since 2010...12 years now and still work. Not long time ago I bought a new one Powermatic 2 plus. This one worked about 2 weeks than broke. Still using my old one.

Thanks for the video. I have permanent nerve damge and have been saving up for one of these/.For those who think this is worthless...just wait till YOU get older. I don't hope that you get arthritis or carpal tunnel using your hands at work. I don't wish that on anyone. You should appreciate your hands. Noone does not AGE. In my day I kicked ass but I was taken down by computer use for AVON. It was the best paying job I could get. It's called RMS- Repetitive Movement Syndrome. NOT LAZY. Smart.

I think this machine is the best thing ever, I've never had problems like I'm reading on this blog. I've been using it for a good year now and I like it better than my top -o-matic. But cause of power outages I keep it around, now what I'd like to see is the power manic have an option to be used with batteries, to make it more easier to roll anywhere ,even outdoors while your camping. So if you haven't tried one you should you to will like it,

I have one too, it's a great machine. I glued my hamper to the unit, couldn't stand it loose and coming apart. I dry my pipe tobacco and then take out the twigs. I use my fingers to pack it a little firmer on the ends, since that is normally where it doesn't pack them tight enough. You can feel when it's packed right and the machines sound will be just right. If u pack it to tight it wont push it all the way through, so i take off the tubee and then push the leaver down to extract the rest of the tobacco, then i try again. Once rolled I pinch the tops then pack them on a solid surface, especially if i'm going to take them somewhere. The money saved is tremendous.

Thanks for all your comments! 1st, I also have the cheap hand machine & I did a review on it. This machine makes them faster and more consistent! I have not had any problems with mine in over 1 year of use. We have sold a few and - no complaints. Next, as far as the health issues- My youngest brother never smoked, played sports, and he died at 40 years of age from brain cancer! Also, we are talking about using pure tobacco; not the crap the major manufacturers use. Google'tobacco additives'

Right on! Good that you are still able to enjoy an affordable, flavorful cigarette. I switched to the pipe, myself. 20 years of cigarettes was enough for me. But I enjoyed them, especially the hand rolled years. I am not anti-cigarette at all. Yet, I do cringe when I get the impression people are using these machines to burn a pack or more a day. That gets to be more a compulsion than a pleasure. Good for camoflaging needlessly-restricted substances and for poor dexterity, though!

It works! I had the hand crank one and put bud in mine one time cause I was curious. It works well just don’t leave huge nuggets in there. Just use a grinder or do it by hand well. Plus your cigs will smell like exotic for a good while lol. (Depends on how good your weed is)

GREAT VOICE! I love your review, I like the perfect volume on the muzak-style light background music, etc. Very professionally done. Don't care for the camera angles, however. I think you could have done better there. We need to see the machine up closer, etc. You're already doing your audio work after the recording so just do the process several times with the camera in various places and give us a more interesting story in your post production. But even without that, you're great! I'd watch your reviews on anything!

A quick tip for keeping your tobacco from getting to dry is to put a piece of apple or potato in the tin to keep the tobacco moist.

I think he was trying to say that death (especially via cancer) is random: disease and illness can occur at any time for any reason, not just because you smoke. And yes, actually, pure tobacco is alot less harmful than manufactured tobacco, as it contains less additives and carcinogens. The oldest woman who ever lived, Jeanne Calment, smoked for nearly 100 years, and still ended up dying from natural causes, and not cancer.

This will work with pipe tobacco too, if you chop it down a bit. Nice alternative to expensive, slurping pipes. I use 200's full flavor filters.

I've gone through two of these machines. I won't buy another one. At first,it makes cigarettes fine. Buy a Manual machine. This has a fatal flaw. The spoon gets loose and breaks every 3 months or so. The internal parts are cheap tin and bend allowing the spoon to jam and break. I have owned 2 both did the same exact thing.

Pretty cool idea, but I can't help but think that it would be much more cost effective to buy papers, filters and tobacco, and simply roll cigarettes by hand. Simply because for this you have to buy the pre-rolled tubes as well as tobacco and the machine itself. But that's just me

120 volts as all seem to be. I would doubt they make them 220. No cause. If you have 220 you also have to have120.

.IT'S THE BEST THING I HAVE BOUGHT FOR A LONG TIME!!! In this video he is not using the little hopper thing that comes with it. I did 15 in 5 minutes first day. My wife and I fight over it now. It went from "can you roll me some cigs hunny?" to "please do not roll me cigs hunny, I want to doit it myself because its so fun" lol But that of course is after using the pain in the ass plastic cig maker. Been using this machine (PowerMatic 2) for the better part of a year now, it started out being the best machine we've owned thus far.... and then about a week ago it started acting up in the sense that the machine tends to roll only half cigarettes. I always clean out that tobacco lever but the problem still exists. I bought some cheap/thin tubes once that gave me a problem also but when I went back to my thicker brand it began to work properly again. Anyhoo... I don't know what the problem is this time and would love some advice/suggestions if anyone is willing to give it. Thanks a bunch :-)

I've been using the T2 in Chicago for about 3 years. The process is identical for loading tobacco except instead of an electric feed, there is a hand crank. Therefore, the time to make a smoke between the two machines is identical. The only time I have trouble seems to be when there is a drastic change in humidity. You will eventually figure out the right humidity by feeling the tobacco. I don't know if it is the tubes or the tobacco or both. Just start making them another day and then you will wonder why you had trouble the previous day. I guess everything needs to acclimate. One problem I found was the rubber thing that holds the paper. After a while, a groove is worn in. Turn the rubber thing a 1/4 turn for a new surface. T2 is sold at Sam's Club for about $35, but most often nearer $50 every place else, like Amazon. But still a real deal compared to the tax they hammer you with for ready made. Another tip is to roll a carton and keep them in a humidor, like cigars. Smokes will grab that moisture in an hour or so. I use a magnet to attach a damp sponge to the inside top of my jar.

Get the T2. Cheaper. Most often, works fine. Some days it blows through the tubes. Some days over fills the tubes. I think the tubes, machine and tobacco must all be kept together to acclimate. My problem seems to come from a change of seasons

I have been thinking of buying one, but in all honesty it is, IMHO, a total waste of money. I can make 20 cigarettes in about 4 minutes with the cheap slide hand machine. It never jams or goes wrong, and there is no flaffing about with power cables etc. etc. 3 euros for the machine, and it is quite therapeutic making them :D Of course, I don't intend to put anybody off buying one...just expressing my experience/opinion! Now, if it could make 20 cigarettes straight off without all the refilling/new tube every time...yep! I'd go for it :D

Nick Cann You are a lot faster at it than I am then... Takes me about half an hour to make my days worth of cigarettes (about 25-30) with my slide machine, then I have to sort them, the better ones I use for while I am at work (don't want a loose one while driving) and then the ones with torn paper and such for home. That being said, I was really kinda hoping this was something between what I have and the ones that the tobacco shops use that could let me just load in a few (maybe even just 5) filter tubes and a bunch of tobacco and have it fill them all for me.

yu nofun It really is a question of technique, like everything :) I guarantee 99% success, as long as I keep the tobacco sufficiently moist (99% of successful cigarette making ;) ), and I have learned to take a full finger and thumbful of tobacco, and 'stretch' it out to the length of the machine. Then I put my two index fingers together in the middle, and push the tobacco to each end, but not too hard. Then take another pinch, and put it right in the middle, and spread it gently to fill the gap, close the machine, and drag it to full extension, close it...and out pops a pèrfect cigarette! My wife, on the other hand, just can't get it right...and the air is full of mild (!) expletives, and I have to take over :D I'll make a short video, if you like, and demonstrate how I do it. By the way...I never have to tap the filter on the table to get the tobacco to 'settle', but when I have rolled enough, I turn them filter end up, hold them all together, and tap the all gently, which 'seals' the loose tobacco in. Never any loose sections, or empty ends which cause the cigiie to fold in half when you take a drag :D :D

Yeah I figured as much. I use mine sparingly so never really got good at it. For a while I went ultra cheap on my tobacco and had some that just could not be used with the machine (no matter how little it was an impossibly hard draw) so I switched to one of the little rollers and disposable filters for a while... Was nasty stuff but at $8 a pound I wasnt too disappointed lol.

+yu nofun The only difference between this and a hand crank is that the injection is powered. I had one of these and I don't think it was any faster or more consistent than my T2. It's technique and practice - I can crank out about 20 cigarettes in ten minutes. I can go faster but then I start losing consistency.

I get mine from Admiral. However, your local gas stations, and stores should carry pipe tobacco. That is what he is using, it's a way to avoid taxes, and is sold cheaper. I suggest just going to a gas station, and asking for roll your own tobacco. Gambler is a good product, check that one out, it's what I use.

I use a different machine and the only time you have to worry about the hot box falling off is when the tobacco isn't packed tight.Have to make sure to tap it tight if it isn't.

It's not much work when you think about it. Make a whole pack of smokes in about 15 minutes. When you think about 15 minutes time for about $5 a pack here in Australia when cigarettes are around $20 for a pack of 25.
