6:12 Ty Sambo, I just ditched all my friends and found new people to breakdance with. Once I am better than them, I will ditch them too.

Ok sambo am 27 and can’t lotus I want to be able to can do a lotus do stretches and exercises I should do to perform it also do a Tutorial with lead up stretches
@CoachSambo3 жыл бұрын
Usually, lotus is a have or don't have thing. If you can kind of perform a lotus then you could probably learn it with no hands. But the main thing I am sharing is that you need to look for the flexibilities given to you by the universe.

Good video!! I just want to ask what's your approach in training power moves? Do you train them individually in sets ( For example 5 sets of multiple windmills, 5 sets of multiple halos etc)? Do you train them in combos?( Windmill flare, Windmill Halo etc)? Do you train different ways to enter or exit a power move? (New york power kick to windmill, kick swipe to windmill, sweep to windmill etc)? Do you do all of the above?😂 Just want to know your approach in training power moves during sessions!
@CoachSambo3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the move. Moves that just need good technique and mind training can be repeated as much as you want. Other things that would require more strength/explosiveness should be exercised one or 2 at a time. But that could depend on your stamina, age, level...

It seems to be all about power moves, nowadays, when looking battles... even with kids. It's cool, but after a while seems quite boring. Everybody is learning the same demanding but old tricks and not so much care about dancing and musicality anymore, not to talk about personality... which is(was?) the essence, battling about skills like modern ninjas and not copying ;) As a dramatic performance, it's more powerful, when a power move comes unexpectedly vs. one after other. So, maybe a video about listening to music and trying to highlight it via breaking... or discovering "your own style" and building it? You are good with choreo and good explaining how to make it interesting with even small details, signatures. I'm a bit worried that breaking will just become a form of street workout/ calisthenics with "elevator music on back" and loose it's soul. Happily in Nordics they still focus on dancing, flow and things like that... Anyway, your channel is great!
