Super cool video! Is there any way to import your own animated 3D models?
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for these great tutorials ! I would like to create my own ANIMATED 3D models for Powerpoint. Do you know if that's also possible ? Thanks, Martin
@powerpointspice4 жыл бұрын
This is not easily possible unless you know advanced 3D modeling techniques with professional software. You can use PowerPoint to animate static models or use their preanimated ones most easily.
4 жыл бұрын
@@powerpointspice Thank you very much for your reply. In that case, do you know if there are websites where I can buy 3D animated models to import in Powerpoint ? Many thanks again, M.
@powerpointspice4 жыл бұрын
Best place for animated models is turbosquid.com (they are not cheap) - though I haven’t tried to bring animated ones into PPt yet (it works with many static ones - I’ve tried those) - I’m not sure if that would work with animated ones but you could try!

I have a PowerPoint animation question. I have a caricature I would like to animate with PowerPoint. The caricature was drawn in one pose. I would like to place the head on various bodies in different poses. How can I accomplish this? Does PowerPoint have premade bodies, or are there bodies available for download that can be worked with? How difficult is it to add a different head to an existing body?
@powerpointspice4 жыл бұрын
It’s very easy to use the same head on multiple poses. Go to freepik.com and find characters - you can then get bodies in different poses. You can also get joints that you place differently for extra customization.

I don't know that I can incorporate a charging T-Rex in my business powerpoints, but very cool!
@powerpointspice5 жыл бұрын
Haha good point. They do have more animated models than just the T-Rex (a few might be useful in education, as they show weather patterns, etc.). However, I agree, and I gave MS the same feedback. They asked me what models might be useful for business - and then I couldn't think of anything off the top of my head - so what animated (or non-animated) models do you think would be useful? I can add to a list that I can pass along to them.

@@powerpointspice Thank-you so much for the quick response (although I wasn't expecting one). I work for a large healthcare system and throughout or organization we drive and support our Mission and vision with pillars of excellence in; People, Finance, Community, Service, Growth, and Quality. As I have worked in the sectors of, non-profit, govt., and the private sector I have seen these pillars to always be present, just in various mixes. So, when we do PowerPoints, and we do literally thousands of them a year, these pillars are always present in some form or fashion, whether one is coming from the IS arena, physician, finance or any other sectors or our organization. Useful? 3d models that are canned and ones that can be readily modified. Specifics? 3D models of humans (various colors) that are basic models not exhibiting a lot of human facial attributes that can and/or animated to show happiness, celebration, thought etc. People working as a team, hand holding, back patting etc. Financial 3D models of charts, cash symbols etc. 3D models of community, of buildings, campuses growing... There are many that business would find useful that are not even touched on by the current MS stock.
@powerpointspice5 жыл бұрын
@@graphguy Great - thank you so much! Very useful. Yes, actually one of the things that I did tell MS was that customizable animated humans would be very useful. Currently, most of the human 3D models they have (even in non-animated form) are in the weird "t-shape" with their arms straight out - this works well when the figures have joints / rigging to them but when they are static, it just looks odd and renders the models useless basically. The financial angle is interesting. Will pass that along. The closest thing to that right is this, though not sure if it reflects the spirit of your presentations :) www.remix3d.com/details/5746915ad8244e3f99c8a1d7e3ad3ec3?section=other-models

I prefer the dinosaur walking slowly as opposed to the cartoony jittery steps. But that's just me. Thanks for the tips.
@powerpointspice5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I see what you mean. I actually played around with the speed for quite a long time and finally settled on a faster speed to go with the music (although I actually ended up slowing it down in the video editing). My main point was that regardless of how fast/slow you prefer the walk to be, you just need to make sure that it syncs up with the length / duration of the motion path so you don't get a "slipping" or "conveyor belt" effect. Thanks for the feedback!
