I also lived in Powers for a couple of years as a child in the 70’s. My cousins all lived there and graduated from Powers. Some still do! I have great memories from there!

@@laurietuck1480 so I was there. ‘74-‘76,, 4th and 5th grade . Don’t remember a lot of names. I hung out with Ben Baldwin and Curt Blondell. Curt’s mom was a teacher there. She was my favorite teacher. Also Lalonie Morgan was considered the hottest girl in school. Do you remember the arrow shaft factory. They made arrow shaft out of White Cedar. I think there were 3 millpond around town. We would tie logs together and make battleships and have battles. Light firecrackers and shoot them at opponents with slingshots. Do you remember hiking up the trail from grade school to the top where the high school is just to go to P.E.?? Remember Elk creek falls, the Boundary park and the park just outside of town . Killer park, had a rock to jump off and in the summers they had diving board(can’t remember the name). That’s where I learned to swim. Remember the eels in the river ( they scared the shit outta me.) past the Boundary park was an old cabin around China Flat. Panned for gold and found my first gold nugget. I could ramble more . Hopefully you have good memories also. Elwin Price
