Just want to warn any one who is considering sways that may have wider feet. At first i was getting blisters on my inner foot. I removed some of the liner padding and molded the shell with a blow dryer. After a bit of breaking in they are fine now and enjoy riding them.

Those soul plates are amazing... I adapted those 2 my m12's and believe me, best skates I ever had and I've gone through a lot of aggressive skates... 25 years on blades

I was wondering if these soul plates would fit the M12's😊 Love my Sesame Lo but struggling a bit with the royale groove - and am a big fan of the soul plate and groove on my USD Carbons why I find this mod very interesting. Any tips on boot size vs soul plate size? Any chance of posting a picture somewhere? Thanks 👌

I will convert the USD Sway 2 Blue into Zoom Flux, just saying. Bought the boot for 49 EUR.

Nice solid session! Maybe I should have given my Sways a second chance, but I've sold them... didn't like the raised heel too much. My feet got numb and I didn't even bother trying to fix it. Do you ever get numb feet? Why do you think this happens and what do you do then? In the Sways I had enough room and evwn had Intuition liners and got numb feet (which I don't get in Shift2s...).

I don’t think they’re for everyone, but I had a pretty solid session. I’ll let you know if it changes

I know it looks like Thrones. I feel like you've said you rode thrones back when for a bit. Do you get that feeling from them? Looks like they work really well for you. Especially on those groove tricks. That back farv looks like butter.

So buy Sway then buy trinity frame($60) and adaptor ($20) to go big wheels? I guess you'd probably have to drill holes for the Trinity adaptor though?
@MugoiKihaku4 жыл бұрын
i think the zoom 80 comes with the trinity frame

Or get a Kizer Trimax frame on those Sways and you re on UFS big wheels

Where can I get just the 45 degree buckle? I'm looking all over the place but can't find one. I wanna throw it on some aeons but I'm having a hard time finding them.

So I have the Sway 57's and they're really comfy BUT I have wanted something like a 45 degree strap because it feels a little unstable? But would you be able to take a replacement 45 degree strap from a Zoom and drill into the Sway boot to mount it? I don't want to buy a new pair of skates (that's why I bought UFS in the first place... plus I don't know if the wife would let me) and I like the Sway; I just want more stability and control. Plus I just got some GC 3x125 big wheels and after having skated them on the Sway boots, I definitely can agree with you on the "no slop" thing. It's way more challenging to skate big wheels on an aggressive boot than I thought it would be. I'm sure a 45 degree strap would help with that too. Thoughts?
@BacktoBlading4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I have a friend who just got a pair of Sway 57 and was complaining about it as well. I’d look for any 45 degree strap you can find
@alangregory55803 жыл бұрын
Been about a year since you wrote this, you ever try this project? Considering trying to slap a 45 degree strap to my razor shifts to make some cosmos. Not having the 45 makes these new heavy big wheels feel too sloppy
@Boogiewalker3 жыл бұрын
@@alangregory5580 i did. I actually went a little harder core and drilled another cuff buckle in as a 45 degree strap. It actually worked pretty well. However, i just had a pair of boots that were just too big, so I bought the Montre Sway boots in a smaller size and it helped more. The 45 degree Velcro strap on those is pretty solid and they ride pretty well. I still think getting a ratcheting strap like the kind on the Powerslide NEXT or the new Mery Muñoz Aeons would probably be even more secure, but I'm happy with how my Montre Sways are working now, both with my Kizer Fluid 5 and my GC 3x125 big wheel frames.

As someone who recently bought the Zoom 80's to get into urban and has been tempted to buy either the Sway soulplate, or the Kizer Flux to be able to do more grinds and such, Thank you!! Though I still don't know what I will do at this point, this helps. (I am leaning towards the Kizer Flux 4x90, so I can cruse the streets and hit the occasional grind as well). Maybe think of doing a Kizer Flux review as well?!
@BacktoBlading4 жыл бұрын
I’ve skated the Flux and don’t recommend at all. The soul area is so small you have to find the perfect ledge for any soul tricks. Great wheelbase though!

@@BacktoBlading aha! I wish there were more alternatives!! Thanks for the good recommendation/tip

Does anyone know, if the Sway generation 2 Soul plate fits?
@RobyMontes222 жыл бұрын
Yes. If they fit the sway, they'll fit the zoom. I think the only difference in the 2nd gen was some weight reduction by implementing a honey comb structure, different material and some other minor things. The fitting should be the same.

I love the hybrid idea, especially for a stiffer boot and the strap. But how do you mount a ufs frame on a trinity boot ?
@BacktoBlading4 жыл бұрын
They’re a generic boot, trinity adapter or a ufs soul plate. Not really designed for swapping but it’s a great option
@devinmiller65983 жыл бұрын
@@BacktoBlading do you need to modify the boot at all eg drilling grinding that sort of thing
@RobyMontes222 жыл бұрын
@@devinmiller6598 No, the zoom is a USD Sway boot with the original Soul plate holes still on em. You remove the Trinity adapter with a screwdriver, and pop in a soul plate so you can use a UFS frame. Getting the soul plate in can be a pain though. A legit Trinity boot, like the PS Next, has the mounting holes built into the boot, not an adapter like the Zoom.

Inspired by your great videos I bought myself a pair of zoom 100‘s which come in a super nice red color. I want to modify them now but I realized that this stupid Trinity Adapter is riveted to the boot. How did you solve that? Thanks in advance and hello from Germany!

Answer to myself: I drilled out the nasty rivets and replaced them with some threads and screws. I’m expecting my souls to arrive tomorrow.. super excited!
