I learn something everyday from listening to the live streams while I sew for my etsy shop. Becky is an incredible teacher and a wealth of knowledge. Best of all, she doesn't waste time with internet interference and "keeps it moving" in a jovial way. Thank you Becky for making my days brighter!

Just got the new Baby Lock Meridian 2 . It's just an embroidery machine. It comes with a 5x7 and 9.5x14 hoops but you can also buy the 6x10 and 8x12 hoops . you can go to your nearest Brother dealer get one financined through Synchrony bank with no interest and low payments . I got a really good deal and they even threw in some extras. My husband said we couldn't afford it until he heard no interest. So you know it came home with us😂

I believe Guggenhein was having issues with consistency from their supplier-at least that’s what they told me when I emailed about the tip of my scissors not cutting when I purchased directly from them. The customer service was great and they sent out another pair immediately. The only problem was the tip (1/2”) of those also did not cut and had a burr that kept catching on the fabric. I gave up after that. I was sorry they weren’t able to correct the problem because they were very responsive and quick to try make it right, which is a welcome change to many companies.

I don’t TEMU to have my information so, I’m not tempted to buy anything from them. And I agree with you Becky so many stores are having to go out of business and we won’t have anything left if we don’t buy made in the USA. 🇺🇸loved this project.

To be fair, most American shops are importing from China anyways and marking up too

Hi Becky, I'm watching this on replay. I heard your comment on feeling leary about gugenhein scissors not being sold on Amazon. Just for your info, Amazon does not care if the products are knock offs or originals from the designer. So, if their scissors are in the same bin as the knock offs, the consumer might get the knock off, have a problem because the knock off is inferior and then will blast all over social media how bad the scissors are, not knowing they actually received an inferior product. Thanksfor listening.

Be sure to use the 60mm rotary cutter so you get a clean cut. If you use a 45mm, it will skip. :)

I'm Sandy. I finally got a new machine late last year. I got a solaris 2 that was upgraded to a 3/ vision. I love that thing!! I started off wanting the babylock meridian but ended up getting the solaris in the end. I'm trying to figure out whether to get the larger babylock or dime magnetic hoop to use for machine quilting. Can't beat the babylock quality, but the price is double the dime hoop. It may be worth the investment for babylock stability while doing edge to edge machine quilting versus the dime design. I love the 10x10 babylock magnetic hoop but its not large enough for edge to edge quilting to me.

I recommend getting the 10x16 DIME hoop. Reason: the bottom frame of the Brother/Baby Lock frames are in a rooftop shape and allow for ZERO fudging of the starting point of the design on a repeat pattern. Sometimes you just need to make a tiny tug of the quilt sandwich to zero in on the start point. You can't do that in frame that has a rooftop shape. I've e2e quilted with both and I highly recommend the DIME hoop. Mulqueen's has them on sale and if you use coupon code PTWT there's free shipping. www.mulqueen.com/shop/Embroidery-Supplies/DIME-Magnetic-Hoops/Dime-Brother--Babylock.htm
