Cowboy coffee, you boil it over an open fire, and then strain it or just pour it really slow so the grind stay to the bottom of the pot

My Keurig's have all died on a Sunday - but I immediately get into my car and drive to Walmart. I now keep a spare coffee maker here at home! I cannot imagine no coffee maker at a retreat!!!

I like your hack of pre marking your points before sewing the borders! I will give that a try! Recently found your channel, and am enjoying it even thought I don't currently do appliqué or embroidery... Karen from southwestern Ontario Canada

Drop your stitch length down to 1.0-1.5 when you plan to press open and your seam will not come apart😊

Becky you sound like me. Now when I travel I take a single coffee maker with me and my coffee because all the hotels have the nespresso makers and I can’t drink that coffee. My husband thinks I’m crazy. It will be going with me on my cruise in April as well the French are going to die. Lol

Scanning the placement pic and bringing that in to place things is what I’ve been doing too! Works great.

Late to the party. Beck, I use my own pots, as well, but I ditched Keurig a long time ago. They do not last. I bought a Cuisinart after that. It lasted 5 years and I bought the same exact Cuisinart again. They come with their own re-usable pod, no extra charge. I also bought the small $100 version single cup Keurig for my RV. No go. Got a cheap $40 version on Amazon. Works like charm. I swear by Dunkin or McCafe!

When the viewer asked/commented about the stabilizer that melts with an iron, she may have been thinking of the embroidery stabilizer used on some projects as a topper that melts away after embroidery done. Can't think of how that would be used in applique, though.

@PowerToolswithThread BECKY,, on the Create taskbar just to the right of image/vector/text there are 4 boxes. The one that looks like a tree is "show or hide the background image." Click that to show your scanned image

I do not like, pressing my seams open for the same reason! I do try to sew with a much shorter stitch length. If I decide I really need to press seems open. That does seem to help keep the seams from coming apart. I tend to sew with a 2.0 or 1.8 stitch if I’m going to press open. But in general, like you, I am not a fan of pressing open I have also heard that pressing can be dangerous because when you are longing the Quilt, if you happen to Stitch in the ditch, you can break the threads and will pull up in the middle of the quilt.
