Im a huge fan of 7" handhelds and when I first saw this one on aliexpress I was excited. Until I read the specs and saw some vids. If you are familar with the Powkiddy X2 (if not look it up) this X70 is obviously the X2 shell reused. But the X70 is easily worse. The X2 at least has an IPS screen, better cpu (corex A7 1.3ghz quad core) and ram. (From what I read 256MB whereas the X70 I think is 128MB) So instead of making an improved version of the X2 they made a crappier even cheaper one. I mean the X2 is already not very expensive so what they should have done is made a slightly improved version, keep the IPS screen of the X2 and added stacked shoulder buttons like the Powkiddy X51 has. This would have made an OK cheapish 7" handheld. What a waste but they always seem to do these things. So you are still better off with the X2,however it only comes in that terrible blue red switch color scheme. Or, even go with the PS7000/Q900 device. Also a 7",but not an IPS, just a reg IPS screen however it has better speaker sound (2 on the back) and it has all four shoulder buttons (inline) , has a basic OS/UI stock firmware but theres an official Batocera image available for it now making it a decent purchase cause of that. I havent got one myself but thinking about it cause of Batocera that available for it. It also comes in blue red but also black.

hey i just got one for 70 bucks. x70, specs may be shit but 7 inch and so long i can play some pokemon and other og games when iom bored, dont give a sht tbh . Im not buying an overpriceed switch nevr a fan of handheld anyways

I bought the pk x70 and the x12 basically to play Diablo on psx. Both play flawlessly for diablo/all 4 resident evil games/spec ops series/tomb raider 3-5 (1+2 start but dont load)/Xena/and quite a few more. Games that have to have L2 and R2 are kinda out of the question like Technomage. The game runs fine but you cant turn the in game camera which is necesary to play. I found both the X12 and the X70 to both have pretty bad screens but for me,lying on my back in bed playing is no big issue. These 7 inch retros are for when your chilling in bed only. Get an anbernic retro for everything great.

Thank you! - great screen ratio and quite powerful unit. Any thoughts on its latency? - my Anbernic has 60-70 ms (in AmberElec) - Odin has 100-130 ms (!) and XP Plus 80-90 ms. I can live with 80-90 ms but really prefer below 70 ms.

The PS1 emulation for this device seems stable. I'm quite impressed seeing there's no lag (or at least I hope I'm seeing that accurately) Needed some video reviews for research. I'm looking at the same device for sale while slowly making a careful decision. I bought a Black Hawk X20 which was crappy since most emulators on the console were lousy. It was only capable of running CPS games with barely any lags. I like the idea of a portable PS1 on the go.

Maybe if they put some other PS1 games instead of the same ones on 5 or 6 other handhelds, then it might be worth it. If they had ds games it would be good idea cause sometimes the 2 screens can only be side by side on a lot of devices and the text is too small on a 3 and a half or even a 5 inch screen, but that would probably mean a better chip inside.

You can always add games to the consoles. The games they put on are not the only ones that can be played on the devices. DS games and screen size will always be an issue, unless you look into 6-8 inch screens.
