your outside heat pump may need warm air pumped to the HVAC outside unit and be prepared with a rubber mallet... to break off frozen rain gently from the outside HVAC housing in central VA. Electricity was off from 0600 AM to 0930 AM today (Thursday) and you have to be ready by replacing my propane logs with better new ones (from Peterson) to keep the house warn.... (Get an old DynaGlo kerosene heater that can run on K-1 (cleaner) or Diesel fuel to keep the house warm inside...and propane logs./heater to stay warm if electricity goes out. And you cannot install it unless you are really handy....

Down here on the Texas Coast we could care less about snow or sleet. What we desperately need are the actual lows for Monday and Tuesday for Corpus Christi and Houston or whenever that High crosses the into the Gulf. Our homes and plants have to be able to survive the humidity when warm meaning additional protection is needed in hard freezes.

As a snow lover here in newark ohio if my area continues to get below average precipitation then there's no hope on getting my 7 inches of snow with a winter storm this winter it's been 8 & a half years & 3,256 days since I got it & this is going to spell significant trouble weatherwise for newark ohio this spring & summer & I've got a bad feeling that newark ohio will get into a exceptional drought this year & in the future & more derechos & tornadoes & better chances for wildfires as well as significant wind damage & the rivers may completely dry up but that's what I'm afraid of

Here in Alabama most people see a snowflake they panic. The mention the two "S" words and people converge on supermarkets like ants swarming after disturbing the mound. Not I, I hunt and fish both in winter . Love snow the more snow the better I love it.
