Sounds really good. I got to hold a couple at Bad Apples and I liked a lot of things about them. Fit and finish, nice gel ear cup seals comes standard, removable mic(awesome), charge your gopro capabilities (also awesome), record everything you hear or say. Pretty great features. Unfortunately too expensive for me. Both my Microavionics wires to the mic gave out at the same time. I need to get in there and solder them (I did on one but may have messed it up, Flux in the mic input maybe?) but they held up for about 2 years. A quick, and more professional, solder will fix em but it'd be cool to just pop another mic on :). When is he officially releasing them?

I think he is done trying to estimate a release date, and is just going with the flow now. This is a sample I just received last week so it’s definitely moving along. FYI the feature to charge the camera has been removed because it was creating too many issues with the recording quality. Too many interference issues, and the best solution would have been a separate power supply on a separate circuit. By that point it’s just too much going on so I think the decision was made to get rid of it. The IC for handling the phone charging was causing too many problems with heat as well as complexity with balancing the capacity available for the fundamental functions of the headset. Also I believe GoPro came out with a higher capacity battery. So all this together kinda contributed to that decision to remove that function.

@@glydrfreak That's fine. I've got an external battery taped to my head that I never use in videos anyway. On longer XCs I just plug it into an external battery in my backpack. Thanks for the info

Does the cold effect flight time much? Must be nice to go for quick rips from your house!

I keep my battery inside the house during the winter so not really. One time I did let it get pretty cold and my battery almost died during a full throttle take-off. But it warmed up during the flight and was fine
