I have been following all the lectures in this teach-in and congratulate JNU as these are helpful for all students listening to them, not just JNUites. I would also suggest to invite Ashis Nandy for a lecture on nationalism.

In voting system, we have one man, one value, one vote - what Indian constitution envisages a strong nationalism but in practise there exist a large discrepancies among different sects of people. Unless these differences are not marginalised, nationalism will just be an idealistic term.

English should start from nursery level as compulsory subject both in govt& pvt school. English is 100 year advance language in case of higher study,research. Work. Judiciary SYSTEM ARE fully in English. Germany,Russia,China are introducing English as internationl language in all wing of education . Mother tounge SHOULD be another compulsory language. ...sciece & its related subject must be in English. Two different class 1) English medium shool -ability to pay lump sum money & 2)mother tounge medium school. having no money for admission .Student who can speak english having SAME MERIT will get CHANCE in competition..

If the idea of universal sufferage was so revolutionary in India as is made out by the prof we should have seen large scale protests against it. The fact is that the idea was so entrenched in Indian mind that nobody ever thought of opposing it. Many faculty at JNU for far too long have made a living sympathising/actively promoting a anti India narrative of caste cows and curries

When the Professor is arguing for the right to secessio, he should have given the answer of right to secession for Kashmir. He should have talked about the religious movement of Kashmir and on what basis they their communist people are supporting a religious movement. As per my knowledge, communism is based upon removal of religion.

But these people are hypocrites, so they selectively pick and choose what to follow. Edit and omit information,narrative,history,facts to fit their own retarded world view.

bharat vaasi This what the commies believe Not sangh aryan dravidian crap is the doing of the off springs of macauley. I don't know about sangh or hindutva being correct or not, but i definitly know that an ideology that killed over a 100 million people cannot be correct.

bharat vaasi Both Sanghi and left follow two extreme path, borrowed from somewhere else. We in India should think about our own concept of middlepath (Buddha). Both of them have done enough harm to our society.

The problem first idea where nation is for the people not above people. .. Then there is high like that individual persons gets more important then nation... It becomes me versus whole nation.. The problem with the second idea the nation is for the people so we should protect it ...the we forget the individual who is basic functional buliding block of nation... The third alternative where most of Indian voters takes is nation is for the people it's not above below the people....that is why we did out labour to build the nation... Where judiciary protects us internally and armed forces protect us externally....and individuals helps eachother

Patnaik knows nothing about Economics; he cannot suggest any alternative policy, but can only criticise. read his writings; these are full of only criticism, but no real suggestions.

Dipak Basu, you poor boy. He served in planning commission in Kerala during 2006-11 and contributed a great to deal with farmer suicides. And it worked very well in Kerala. So, what you say about farmers are being killed in Vidarbha, Gujrath and MP? Are these poor farmers anti nationals, so that we can just move on and on?

Bro as Wikipedia says, "He was part of a four-member high-power task force of the United Nations (U.N.) to recommend reform measures for the global financial system." Don't crack jokes saying that he doesn't know about economics if it doesn't abide by your ideology. 😂😂😂😂

Sir my opinion is nation is not above the people... Nation is for the people ( this ideology is little bit left leaning) Nation is for the people, so people should protect the nation (this is more right leaning ) But my opinion is nation is for the people...nation should not be above the people and people either never above the nation

Indian nationalism was started with anti colonial movement???hah I can't understand why chanakya spent so much time explaining rashtriyaaad rajyavaad
@Inner.divinity
@Inner.divinity 2 жыл бұрын
There was no concept of modern nation- state at the time of Chanakya, there were only empires and kingdoms .. people were loyal to their kings and emperors, there was no sense of belonging to one nation with one constitution, national flag and anthem..our sense of nationalism developed under the British rule, we aspired to become a modern nation state after getting the idea of nation- state from European thinkers ...
@ANKITPAL-ro8ue
@ANKITPAL-ro8ue 2 жыл бұрын
@@Inner.divinity Thanks alot, for explaining. But dont you think that the idea of modern nationalism has its root in love for nation and that nationalism was used to embrace slavery among the citizens. We had the concept but not pro people
