Prachuap Khiri Khan - Beach and Old Town

The old town area is a lot of fun to see. In addition to the this there is other things to do. Ao Manow beach and the temple on the hill are 2 of the most famous things to do. The best thing is when port fc goes on the road to here. It gives me and my buddies an excuse to head south to see the beach …. I mean see a game. Lol

It’s not too far south of Hua Hin. Most people skip right past it and are really missing out. The beach to the south, Ao Manow is fantastic. I used to skip it also until I stayed here and saw the charm of the place. Now I make a point of stopping and enjoying it.

@@effie-montreal just got home about 15 minutes ago. Was a great trip. I have several videos I need to edit and post. The temples were not crowded and the weather was better than we have had here in 3 months.

I liked the observation regarding the ' scents and smells' of a thai market. I have been to the market in Chaiyaphum, the wife's home town, and it can get a bit aromatic as the day warms up! 😅

I keep planning on going through chaiyaphum but I haven’t yet. There is a Khmer temple there that I want to see. Ya the markets can challenge the smell sometimes. We were just in India and Thai markets have nothing on them. Wow they were insane busy with complete sensory overload load. Thanks for all the videos on Phrachaup Khiri Khan. My partner and I from Canada are planning a trip to Southern Thailand in late March to early April. We only have 10 days. Our destinations include Prachaup Khiri Khan, Chumpion and Nakhon Si Tammarat.

You will have a great time there. PKK is one of my favorite places to visit. Chumphon is nice also but the town is much more spread out without the downtown area. I used to come here in weekends when I lived in Bangkok. I am in Europe now but I am thinking about retiring in Prachuap within a year or 2.

It's a cyclist's paradise. I brought my folding bike from Bangkok and spent the entire time cycling around town and along the beaches.

We consider buying some Land there and build a house. Where do you report to Immigration when you live there?

I’m not sure where the immigration is at PKK. I always have to report in Bangkok. I’m sure it’s right in town because there is a good sized expat community here as well as north in Hua Hin. I have to report every 90 days and do my visa every year which is a bit of a hassle but part of the deal with living here.
