Nice set-up. Love the re-purposed sippy cup, ha ha. Finally, someone who only carries what he is likely to need, not a stock-pile for every possible "what if."

Finally a true EDC bag. Not someone who claims EDC but its actually some survival bag. Nice set up. Thank you for your service to the great state of SC. You should consider a tourniquet and some combat gauze. You are in the military, I know, I don't need to explain. Be safe and take care!
@garagegunz14518 жыл бұрын
first off thank you for your support. I do keep a EMT grade med kit in my vehicle. as far as the bag I've always got a belt on me I could easily repurpose as a tourniquet. thank you for your suggestions.
@timjon11225 жыл бұрын
@@garagegunz1451 Have you ever tried using a belt as a tourniquet and actually occluded arterial blood flow on an arm and leg? I don't know what kind of belt you use but TCCC and/or Army Medical Research Center (I don't remember which) has determined that using a belt is hugely a myth.

David Flores did you know the US military is only allowed to have contracts with companies that make their products in the USA? I'm not saying that some Gerber products are not outsourced to other countries. However the gear that we are issued including the knife in the video was made in America. Thank you for your comment though. I do enjoy passing factual information on too individuals such as yourself.

I like it! I think a lot of people get so carried away with what they can stuff into their packs they lose sight of what EDC is. They pack more stuff that goes unused and more than I have seen soldiers pack for deployments, it's crazy. Looks like you got all your bases covered. Cheers!

@garagegunz14518 жыл бұрын
+John Arnold once you put it together and figure out what you want and everything. put your bag on and go take a minimum of a mile walk wearing it. that will help you narrow down exactly how much you actually need. I see alot of people confuse a EDC bag with a survival kit. you can help yourself by buying a smaller bag so it keeps you from packing to much to begin with.

One thing that I noticed in your edc bag and in many other, is the size of the bag normally is too big for the itens inside. Maybe, a 20 liters bag will fits your gear and organized it better. But nice video. Gonna fallow some of your ideas. (sorry for the English)

Good little kit....in the military huh?....I feel you, having done my 20....certainly understand. One question...your active duty and you also like to go camping?...I definitely did plenty of "camping" in the Army...how can you stand it?...lol, just kidding. Hang in there brother...time goes fast on AD.

It does suck for this kind of stuff being active man, and still doesn't make sense why we can't carry on post. My edc bag has a decent knife I could use in a self defense role though.

Ah well im glad to finally see someone with some common sense, all these videos with guys carrying 20kgs of kit on them. i like your style, also im from the UK im reserve military but i dont understand what your term "active duty" is. here in the uk we either have Regulars or Reserves.
@garagegunz14517 жыл бұрын
it would probably be the same as your regulars. Active duty here is military is your full time job. Reserve is you do it a few days out of the month and have a normal regular job in the civilian sector. Then we also have national Guard that instead of being funded by the federal government it is funded by the state and is very similar to reserves as far as how they usually have both a civilian and military job.

Nice video. What model of folding knife do you keep in your EDC? In Italy it may be a problem, to carry the knife in an EDC. At least it shouldn't be ready for use (against someone), that is hidden in a pocket, because of a 1975 law

Silly question, I'm not from the USA so I was wondering how the active duty in your Air Force works? You have another job and things, so is it like a part time thing like our territorial army in the UK?
@drakebond12548 жыл бұрын
+Alex Arcano no
@alexarcano8 жыл бұрын
+Drake Bond ok, just 'no'? Right now I'm even more curious, he mentions work a couple of times as if it's a separate thing from his service and study too, so is that study in Air Force stuff or courses outside of military, so how does it work? Just in the uk your kinda limited and can't carry material from duty on your own electronic devices, and have to get prior approval for work outside service. Official secrets act and all that. Even after you leave you have to get permission to do certain jobs. Anyway, just wondering how it works in the USA.
