Your values aren't too far from what I run for most of my x frames...except your Ds are MUCH higher! I've never been game enough to run them above 30. Will have to push a bit further with them and see if that improves my tune. Thanks as always for the video.

I recently started using Feedly to keep track of new videos on my subscribed channels since KZbin for some reason does not want you to know what you have seen or not in a simple way. You just paste it in. But if you are not running the same version of BF as I was, don't do it. QuadQuestions has a tune database with more up to date info if you want it.

The 3/4 turn is because the rates on this copter are slightly different than I'm used to and I haven't calibrated yet. Even though the nominal rate is the same, every copter turns slightly different. I would rather adjust the rates to get the copter consistent on pitch and roll and then re-tune my fingers. Also, I'm still working on perfect consistency for flips. rolls are easier because you can see the horizon the whole time. So this is at least partially my skill as a pilot that is coming into play.

I found this hard myself to. I'm also trying to find consistency for flips. So that's why i noticed, but i find it suprizing that you would re-tune your fingers. I would rather tune my copter but maybe that's why i can't find the right setting for myself. Thanks in advance!

Teaching us to tune is the most valuable service Joshua can provide. Firstly there's no guarantee that a quad tuned at his house will fly the same in a different location with possible much higher or lower elevation. Secondly putting in some extra flight time for tuning can only help your piloting skills which is by far the biggest factor in race performance.

Ant D I agree but some of us value time more then money. I would like to build my own kwad send it to be tuned by a professional such as Joshua and it fly the way I want it to without me spending days trying to work out the kinks when he can do it in an hour.

Joshua, I have a question about tuning. I have the qq220 and with tornado T2 motors and hq 5x4x3. I can tune it to the point where It's about 99% tuned, no prop wash, no arm lifting, etc. But when I slap kingkong 6x4 blades on it, there's what seems to be a D term oscillation when flying in any direction but straight up. I can't tune it out! notch filters, PIDs, everything I can think of! Could this possibly be a resonance with the frame and the propellers causing this? everything I've balanced, so I know it's not the props or motors. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Joshua Bardwell usually I run it around 20-22 but I have gone as low as 12, I'll try setting it down to zero and see what happens. You know when the inside of an fpv camera is loose and the video is shaky in all directions? it's like that but very small quick movements. If it is D gain will setting D to 0 expose it?

Setting D gain to zero completely disables the D term. If you set D gain to zero and still see it, it's not D term oscillation.

I'm just into the freestyle side of the sport not looking for a racer and unfortunately have no idea how to build one n def don't have the funds is it purely idiotic for me to have my hopes up on say an Eachine Wizard
