Kudos to you Slater for showcasing another Important Profession and making the public aware of their role. It is an emerging profession nowadays as we truly need to blend the BUILT and NATURAL ENVIRONMENT together! We need more OPEN OUTDOOR SPACES, and we need more of LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE developments!

Wasn't really my intention to listen to the whole talk but I truly fully enjoyed it. And I think I've just discovered something about myself; I should've been a Landscape Architect. I love nature, wildlife and it's beauty. The way it calms my mind and soul everytime I observe nature. Also love how it can be incorporated with Architecture and arts gives me euphoria. I wanted to be an architect back then but took a different path. Sadly, I'm past 40 years old now and time is no longer in my favor but that's alright. So, I thank you Slater. Never thought I'd still find out something more about myself at my age that I didn't fully realize back then. Kudos. God bless and may you have more projects to come.

I superlike this topic because I’m into plants. And I learned a lot in less than an hour. I also used to work as HR for a golf and country club which has the best landscape work. And when I was working I just go out and enjoy the view. I sometimes do interviews out of the office so the applicants would have a good feel of the company. I learned a lot from our Head of Landscape and Horticulture. He really loved nature. When he left us, I was in search for a Landscape or Horticulture major graduate which back then can only be found in UPLB. Luckily, I was able to hire one. I saw her amazing designs and how she implemented them. Up to now, when I go back to that place, it still has the same vibe, the trees are maintained, the golf course is fantastic. The owners are contractors and are architects at the same time. The place is Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club, Lipa Batangas

I’ve recently started contemplating how to design my dream home and ran across your channel, and in the 3 videos I’ve seen so far, you’ve presented content that directly correlate to a ton of the ideas I already have and validated that not only are they smart ideas, but also possible within the context of the Philippines.

It is so pleasant listening to The Landscape Architect Efren Aurelio. Maganda ang pananalita nya. With his age and experience and desire of good for the environment one can feel the confidence and pride in his work. He doesn't use buzz words, crutch words like "parang" usually pronounced as "pawrang pawrang" 😅🙄🙈🙉😂.

Most houses nowadays are built sagad sa lote. Homeowners don’t even provide spaces for big yards and garden. Mas gusto ko pa tumira sa bahay kubo na maluwang ung yard than modern houses na set back na lang open space. This is what I learned during the pandemic. Everyone needs open spaces in their properties to breathe.

Love your videos and living in PH now. Could you kindly add translation in the tagalog parts? My father and me always watch your videos to make our villa on Panglao better, and think all your tips have been quite useful here coming from a completely different environment.

For future architects and engineers please do more greener designs at least 50% of the building projects you created for aesthetic, sustainability that collects natural water, cleaner air and natural heat resistant. Take an example of singapore downtown buildings where government required them to have at least 50% greens on the building as they consume land for construction yet the architects and developers exceeded more than 50% required. I hope our government required such as CEBU CITY GOVERNMENT claims a SINGAPORE LIKE! If we can't make it like SG, atleast we tried.😊

This is what is missing in our infrastructure development! After building the infrastructures, I don't see any landscaping at all and we actually have landscape architects! Another thing that is missed opportunity for these landscape architects is the Quezon Memorial Circle which could have been like the NY Central Park and our beloved Luneta Park!

Now a days its so hot na. Its not healthy if puro nalang aircon. Big houses are for the rich people. A middle class earner should built a minimalist house. And plant trees & herbs.
