Hello, from a newly registered civil engineer in our country! I extend my gratitude to Engr. Young and Dr. Botuyan for sharing such enlightening video content on Geotechnical Engineering, a subject and field in engineering that is often overlooked by many. As a newcomer to the industry, your insights have proven invaluable, motivating me to pursue further learning and aspire to become a distinguished engineer in my specialization, which lies in structural engineering. The realm of engineering is undeniably vast, and your perspectives have shed light on the areas I should prioritize and explore. I eagerly anticipate more inspiring and informative video content like this in the future. May blessings abound for both of you!

Next guest should be Sanitary Engineer. I’m intrigued why the Philippines has no or less Sewerage Treatment Plants that are very necessary for the cleanliness of our seas, ocean and rivers like Pasig River and Tullahan River.
@TheFilipinaExpat7 ай бұрын
Agree!! Sir @thatguyslater Please po! Growing up abroad this is one thing I have noticed na lacking sa Pinas po!
@redsoil57 ай бұрын
@@TheFilipinaExpat Sa Pinas kasi akala nila yung Drainage System is the same as Sewer System. Yung kapit bahay ko nakita ko minsan nagtatapon ng used oil sa drainage. Sinita ko at nagalit sa akin. He doesn’t know that used oil will go directly into creek then river and finally the sea. My other neighbor try to build a house without Professionals. His plumbing from kitchen and laundry goes directly to drainage system or pipes, only his Toilet 🚽 and bath are connected to Septic Tank. Basic principle of Sanitation is “ONLY RAIN WATER OR ANY POTABLE CLEAN WATER WILL GO TO DRAINAGE SYSTEM”. Kaya yung discharges from Septic Tanks supposedly will go to Sewer Pipes but the Philippines has no Sewerage System that’s why there’s no choice but to discharge it to Drainage Pipes.
@maesantos16643 ай бұрын
Philippines needs to change the terminology so people can differentiate sewer to drainage. In North America, specifically, here in Canada, we call drainage “storm drain” which is designed for rain runoff and other drainage not designed to carry hazardous waste or sewage.
