Take a trick from the original Star Wars movie, Vaseline. Smear just a thin layer on your light saber, and that will help them lighten up a little better.
@Adaptalux
@Adaptalux 2 жыл бұрын
Didn't know they used Vaseline! I'll have to do some research and try that!
@timyates2895

@@Adaptalux In the original movie, when the land speeder was going across the desert, it had wheels. So they used Vaseline on the film to blur the wheels and make a force field effect under the "car". I think it may also work as a sort of diffuser for light on something clear, like your light saber.
@Adaptalux
@Adaptalux 2 жыл бұрын
Very cool behind the scenes tricks there. I'm not too keen to put Vaseline on my lens or sensor though! Ill play around with it next time I do something like this, thanks for the suggestion Tim!

Thanks for the great tut. I have to ask - what is the little gizmo thingy with the crocodile clip/clamp attachment with which you hold the white card BG in place? It looks mega handy and I've been looking all over for a tiny thing like this to use instead of plasticine and holding my breath...

is it possible to do the same with heman type figures? they are much bigger then lego. Would a Nikon camera you use do the same job? If it's a yes I will get one then.
@Adaptalux
@Adaptalux 3 жыл бұрын
We have tutorials with larger figures that might be more helpful! Here's one that would probably be more your size - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooi8doODp7uCmKM I use the Nikon D5600 for that shoot too.

16:10 Totally not true! Lol. When taking pictures of Lego toys based on fictional characters from a space western, it is absolutely realistic to have several different types of storm troopers hanging around together. Love these videos, keep up the great work.
