Always nice to see small shops rather than huge companies with millions of dollars worth of equipment. Still goes to show you that with a dream and very hard work you can be successful in this trade. I wish you all the best. 👍🏼👍🏼

Nice likeable guy, who plays by the rules, wish him and his first employee the best for the future. This is one of a very few principals I have seen who would be able to use and provide value to his customers with a Kern, hope he get's there if that's his dream. Ray

I had a small cnc shop in Ontario with 5 axis mill , y axis mill turn and cnc die sinker e.d.m. All my work was aerospace/defense/fire arms. Sold the bizz , semi-retired and keep busy as a manufacturing engineer for a robotics company.

How did you get the work?

That's funny, I started as a mechanic at a bike shop too, and I also looked at all the CNC'd parts and was impressed. I didn't know at the time that I would eventually go to school for machine tech also, but over 20 years later, I'm still going strong. I definitely agree with how big companies are so damn scared to change ANYTHING on a job. 'We've been doing it this way for ten years' yeah, that's the problem lol.

Very courageous young man. I never caught what the name for the UMC was? I got” Gina” for the VF-2. All kidding aside great video. Looks like a ton of AS compliant stuff. Probably not for everyone but quite impressive

"Wow, this is truly inspiring! It's amazing to see someone taking charge and building something incredible from the ground up. Your dedication, work ethic, and passion for the craft are contagious. Keep pushing the boundaries and showing the world what hard work and vision can achieve. You've got a bright future ahead!" Could you share more information about the inspection planning software you mentioned? It seems like it could be really beneficial for streamlining our inspection. Thanks!"

Finding more and more customers asking for ISO9000, material certs, NDA agreements, etc. But none want to pay the extra costs associated with this paper exercise they still expect me to compete with china on cost while supplying western top quality. For this reason so far have avoided these customers.
@Mikkel-RS14 күн бұрын
To be fair, iso9000/1/2 is more the basic QMS, which isnt such a big step. Material certs are items that are usually gathered by your material supplier, NDAs are fairly standard to fill out and keep on file. Sure it costs time and money, but a lot of the time- it builds a better relationship with the customer. I know the products i make just have to wow the first person in the door, its the paperwork and making it easier for them to enter everything into their systems that passes along good words about your company.

I have done it for so long as an employee I don’t really want to get into that type of work. I’m actually trying to build my own product brand. However if that doesn’t work I may re think my game plan and dive back into that type of work. Lol
