The fans were the ones that got the administration to get rid of Gibbs. I hated it, because he was such a great man and linebacker at OU, but he wasn't an HC. I am starting to feel exactly the same (not there yet but edging toward it) about BV. Great man, great linebacker at KSU, maybe a below average HC by OU standards. He could restore my faith by seriously considering different OC options, even if it comes midseason. By Auburn we will know if Seth (whom I also love as a Sooner) is the man or not. Personally, I hate his offense, but if it works any at all I could live with it.

@redline54063 ай бұрын
This is an indictment on Reilly's last couple years. Brent's first recruiting class only had two O-linemen, but he had two weeks to pull the class together. That's why they've had so many transfers. They O-line recruiting has definitely picked up, but there will still be shortcomings until the young guys are ready. Take that and add 4 or 5 injuries to it and here we are.

As if every freshman is equal? I think you would find the OL wasn’t the problem whatsoever the other night. Not as bad as we played. The OL played plenty good to win 3-4 TD’s. RB’s MUST do their part and they haven’t been. Go look at other teams. They aren’t opening 5 ft wide holes. The RB’s have a responsibility as well to make things happen. JA also had plenty of protection all night. I’m not saying 100% of the time but I am saying plenty good enough for JA to have had a great game. Go watch. Go watch the RB’s and see what you see. You can’t run as fast as you can right into the guards ass. There is no patience on Barnes part and Sawchuk? I have no words. Tatum will play more and more. Go back and look at AD’s freshman year. He was starting the first few games either.

It's like we stand straight up and play pattycake with the defensive player. To do the rpo blocking you got to keep your feet moving. Once you stop moving your feet the defensive player will beat you every time.

We also pushed DG to the curb because the coaching staff said Jackson is “ready to take over the team”… you look at Dylan Riola (true freshman), Avery Johnson (RS freshman), and the Nico kid at Tennessee (RS Freshman).
