I get such a kick out of greeting all the “Preloaders”! It is a pleasure to meet you all-some of you I have met in person, some of you I have “met” through your comments and emails. Your pre-practice enthusiasm and energy is a delight to witness. I wish I could bottle it. Tom, I’m sorry you weren’t able to fully participate. We really appreciate you coming to Pooler and have a safe trip home. For those “Preloaders” that practice and participate from afar, I also feel your positive energy, it comes across in the many messages sent to Robert! Keep up the great work and keep practicing. Honey, I love that you are uniting so many through your passion.💋

Yes, me to wanna see more ladies practice, coz in my humble opinion a lady is just another (biker) rider and at least here in Sweden they are treated just like that, just one of the pack :-)... Wow! A very exhilarating practice session! Took my breath away! I find it so amazing that when you go into an exercise and you know that your front wheel is not placed where it should have been......usually that exercise is not going to fly. If you know the three Motor Officer techniques in some cases you can recover what you messed up. I know that these skills have saved me out on the road. So important to know. All riders did great! I hope that Tom from Texas and his bike are okay. I am happy to hear that Al's foot is on the mend. Thank you Lt. Robert for another practice session. Have a great week!

Hey Marshal. I would love to practice with you! My advice would be to trailer it. I have to say it. That’s a long time to be on a bike to then practice, which wears you out, and then have to ride back. I’m assuming you’d make a weekend out of it. Thanks for the compliment and I agree with you. @@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle Got some friends in Midway, so not far off it looks like a half hour. Got the bike to put miles on! It needs to ride in some more states too! I've done some long trips before on my VTX when I had it. Kansas City to Toronto is 2000 miles round trip. But I'd usually break the travel up in to about 500 mile days. May consider the same coming down half way, staying somewhere then making it to Midway the day before the session. From here to Midway is 740 miles, 12 hours according to the GPS. Plus fuel, food and stretch stops probably an extra +2 hours travel time on top of that.

I have been a big time user of my rear brakes, probably since about 1980-81, when I was leaving College after a rain and I used my front brake to stop in the parking lot and I went down like a sack of potatoes. I use my rear brake mostly with a little front brake. A lot of times I am covering my front brake and using my rear. Now with my 2008 GL1800 and its linked brakes my rear is by far the most used.

When you come to a stop and then pre-load do you hold the front break or no? Just asking from watching video - haven't got to go out and ride yet

Hey Bradley. As Jolkrae has already stated, when you’re stopping and under 15 mph, you’re not touching that front brake again until you start moving again and you are traveling ABOVE 15 mph.

Hey pre-loaders. Another great session. Cannot wait to make a trip back at the end of the month. Hey Herb way to show that M109r who is the B.O.S.S by staying upright. To be safe get that bike retard or ecu flashed to reduce the sensitivity. Thanks again for all you do Robert. Ride safe and I’ll see you at the end of the month.
