As a 25 year old man who has been playing guitar for 15 years. This is ridiculously hard. However. Knowing how to play instruments already, I also know this exercise is incredibly good and important to learn

If only my body physically would allow me 😢. It has been more than 2 months since I played my violin because I can't even stand upright without assistance 😢. Yesterday I celebrated a month since coming out of an ICU ward.

Thank you for your help with the sharp and flat notes. Would it be possible for you to enable the download of the sheet music for the scale exercise you introduce in this video? I have not been able to do so. Playing along with you has been the best learning experience. Thank you.

Question about practicing scales. As a very beginning beginner, should I work on being competent on one of the scales before working on the next and so forth OR go ahead and do each of the five, eventually returning back to the first? Note: I say competent, not perfect before moving on to additional scale(s). Thanks in advance, and love your videos.
@Violinspiration4 ай бұрын
You can definitely try both approaches! Spending some focused time on one scale at a time can help it stick in your muscle memory. Going through all five can be a good way to keep things interesting and expose yourself to different sounds. See what works best for you and keeps you engaged! Keep rockin' those scales!

Very nice approach for beginners. Good that you also show use of full bow strokes. LMK if you’ve done a YT vid how to mark the fretboard with tape to learn the positions.

I want to learn how to play the violin, but I don't want to learn how to read music. And why are violins so expensive?! I just want to give it a try but every violin less than $1,000 seems to be garbage. Violins were invented 300 years before the can opener and you can find those at the dollar store, so I don't understand why they haven't figured out how to make good quality violins at a reasonable price. What about an electric violin, can you get a halfway decent one of those for a few hundred bucks?
@Violinspiration19 күн бұрын
I totally get where you're coming from. Violins can be pricey because of the craftsmanship involved, but there are decent electric violins that won't break the bank! You can actually find a good starter one for a few hundred bucks. If you're curious, check out my blog post here: violinspiration.com/best-electric-violin/ for some recommendations! Good luck 🎻😊
