I’ve been doing these for like 12 years and never learned how to flick them properly. Always did that donkey mob kick, hopefully this helps.

@@feralstateofmind same, I just slow motioned this and this trick is amazing. I think the secret is to bend down and in order to pop proper you need to stay on your toes and let your legs and torso straighten before you actually pop, lot of timing and rhythm is crucial and that is why the nollie flip is the illest flat ground trick in skateboarding .
@Alskie666 Жыл бұрын
Yup same here. It's hard to rewire your brain if you've done a trick like that for so long.

Thank you for the tip on not pointing your foot! It's something I do and recently the board has been rotating 90 even though I'm trying to stay straight. Was beginning to really annoy me but what you said makes sense.

My biggest issue is sliding my thigh and leg up higher while sliding my foot is my issue, slowly just getting comfortable with it. I push and try to skate switch at least half of my session.

Can you please do a video on the "hardflip controversy" about people saying that a vertical hardflip is/looks like a bs pop shuv it
@SpectrumSkate3 жыл бұрын
As long as it flips with the rotation of the shove it’s a hard flip. This argument has been around since early 2000’s.
@allinwarda58943 жыл бұрын
@@SpectrumSkate yeah but some people are too ignorant to accept that some hardflips may look like pop shuv its because of their verticallity

I learned switch flips first try I wanted to see if I could do them so i tried it on a carpet and got it first try I did 5 in a row went outside and did 3 in a row but my friend showed me the video he took and I wasn’t flicking I did the push down method and was so bummed out they looked bad imo but I got switch fs flips right away because I did they particularly flicked and push down so I spent awhile learning to flick switch flips and nollie flips now I can do switch tres and nollie lasers ect but I lost my switch fs flips because I flick to hard or too high.
