Good tips....I found out for me..in addition to to these if you focus on putting weight on left foot and only do that rest of the things will automatically follow. This is for two hand..backhand. and a .righty.

Love this video, especially the last 15 minutes explaining the three things, 1) pelvis rotation, 2) wrist slap (power) from 8 like racket motion and 3) extension (control) to other side. I had two flaws, leaning fwd without hip rotation and slap down low over my hips (power without control), you showed and explained both flaws perfectly, I took pics :) from video. I like the baseball analogy, slap without extension, is power with control and ball goes everywhere. Thanks a lot coach!

Very nice video. Thanks coach. One request on double handed backhand. Any drills to practice shots shoulder height and above? I seem to struggle with those the most. Feel off balance, body locked, and cannot generate power for the effort i put in. Any tips will be helpful here. Thanks.

Thomas is a great coach and guy ! Always gives very detailed explanations. I am a friend and also a pro, on high balls don't bring the racquet down. Recognize the height of the ball and stay with the racquet over your shoulder , weight on back foot and transfer the weight in the ball keeping the swing over the shoulders level.
@feeltennis4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dawn, first, you have to accept that a high ball neutralizes you. (and almost everyone else on the planet.) Therefore looking for power is pointless as your goal should not be to attack but to play back a neutral ball which means it needs to be deep. You can do that without much power just by feel and finding the right height and trajectory. Secondly, here's a video on how to handle high balls: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnbFeImXbNKrp68
