To be honest, Luna Rossa has been competitive throughout the Prada Cup. Yes, they had big hiccups but, if my memory stands correct, they only truly suffered once (against American Magic, day 3), and deserved more victories than they actually achieved. If Luna Rossa truly managed to further increse their performance before the semi-finals, they are the favorites. Ineos must outpace Luna Rossa in the development game during these weeks to come back on top.

Great report ! Well done! The American magic crew had PTSD from when they broke the boat. They sailed like they were afraid to break the boat again. Perhaps they were warned that the boat isn’t robust but who knows. That said, Luna isn’t that good, the Brits will win and New Zealand will win again!

I agree on the improvment that LR showed in the semi-finals, but I wouldn't disgard the first part of its campaing as you did. Most notably, despite the fact that ineos really showed its pace, LR put on probably the hardests fights we saw in this new class

Has Luna Rosa made a substantial gain in speed since the Round Robin? They very clearly claimed that their upgrades had given them a 10% increase in speed. USA claimed no improvements just rebuild as was. The speed difference between the two in the semi-final wasn't that great. The manoeuvrability and control on LR was the deciding factor - the numbers didn't show LR as 10% faster. So they may be - but where is the evidence? We will see in the early hours (UK) of Saturday morning and the reporters' statement that no one knows is the most accurate analysis I've seen.

Prediction is always a mixed bag. It’s something to talk about. There are plenty of NZ fans that are predicting a NZ win. It’s called making conversation. It goes on when the boats aren’t actually racing.

🇬🇧 😃We will cheer for Ben Ainslie and his team....I liked all of his public interviews he has made so far, even the one where too much of champagne seemed to affect his balance. In contrast to what I see from the Prada team and their mostly out of the water tactics and politics with the exception of one of their helmsman, Francesco Bruni. You still see how directed he is by the team to say what he has to say, but his personality still shines thru.... BUT still.... we cheer for the Brits over here

It was my thinking when it was on the press media, now the world become much faster and that’s why I don’t sign up for printed magazine as it fells like very old news. Now why not bring edge info that really are news?
