I am a family medicine physician and your teachings have changed my approach to nutrition and advising my patients. My desire is to help treat patients and to go at the underlying and root cause. The carbohydrate intake and continuous feeding in modern mankind is unprecedented and contributing significantly to chronic diseases - the root cause being hyperinsulinemia. We were not taught this in medical school or residency training. At the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, we had one day of nutrition and even that was outdated information. We are taught mostly to prescribe, not to go at the root cause. Thank you so much for teaching all of us. I feel a newfound love for going to work everyday because my mission now is much clearer because of greater understanding. I am sharing your teachings with my colleagues and all of my patients. Thank you Dr. Jamnadas

This has saved my life! This is the way! I'm living proof. I started my journey in April of 2020 at 400 lbs and extreme metabolic syndrome. My metabolic age was over 70 in my 30's. I was dying. Very low quality of life. So much agony. My Dr was at a loss as to what to do for me. This morning, my weight is 179.4. My metabolic age has reversed to 51 at 46. All of my ailments have just gone away. I'm in day 3 of a full fast for the first time. I feel amazing. This is the human diet. Grass-fed grass-finished meats. True, free-range chickens and eggs. Full fat dairy and vegetables. One meal a day. But I eat very little because I'm in a pretty constant state of satiety. Start today! Good luck!

Rebecca: I think it was mid August of this year I was at the gym 🏋️‍♂️ working out feeling pretty good but was thinking something is wrong and 3 days later felt like death warmed over and death sounded like a good option 🙄. I thought maybe I have covid again, but soon went and got a blood test revealing things like a vitamin D deficiency among other things. So I then went to the Sears clinic in South Florida and got started on some higher quality supplements. I also found Dr. Burg on line and started following his healthy Keto and intermittent fasting, and I'm strict with myself! Now I follow several Dr's, including this one and am glad to see how most of them concurr with each other on low carbs and low or no sugar being the way to go. Today a trainer at the gym said I look 10 years younger in just 4 months friends also say what a differents. A1c went from 5.6 to 5.0 in 3 months also. I say and most will agree if we are going to make it in to our senior years, we should do it in health not sickness! Again, I'm glad to see others out there improving their quality 👏 of life like yourself!🙂

The difference between this gentleman is that he says “DONT DO THIS!” and then explains in laments terms that the average person can grasp. He is giving us information to take to our GP so we can say “I WANT THIS TEST DONE, AND THIS IS WHY….” Instead of going to the GP and walking out thinking “IM HEALTHY, LETS GO GET A BURGER AND FRIES!!” The touch of humor keeps you engaged. I am guilty of so many things he talks about. Unlimited thanks 🙏 to you Bless u

Does water fasting mean no food at all for 27 days? I can go 2 days, but my hunger pain level becomes excruciating and I’m curled in my bed in a fetal position if I try going longer. How do you last 27 days? Do you take vitamin supplements?

@@hdthor I guess it's always interesting how different our bodies are, which makes it hard to say what diet is good and what is bad, even this KZbin guy might be wrong with a lot of stuff. It might work for some but not for all. This Guy who made the comment probably has a completely different body in some ways. Maybe he was also obese when doing or before doing the water first which might help. My stomach also cramps after doing a 2-day water fast, maybe we are doing something wrong, I don't know. I think from now on I'm only doing 18 hours of fasting, this feels much healthier.

I learned about a lot of this a few years ago (from various other youtube videos) after experiencing a LOAD of symptoms including inflammation, joint pain, constipation, folliculitis, alopecia areata, brain fog, poor memory, depression, anxiety, etc. I eliminated all sugar and junk food and fasted frequently, usually only 1-2 days. Within a few weeks ALL of my symptoms disappeared and I felt the best I'd felt in decades, mentally and physically clear. Unfortunately I got stuck in another country during Covid and did not maintain as much control over my diet + severe stress pushed me back into poor habits and since then slowly all of my symptoms have come back. As I put on weight after reaching the age of 40, I was not fat before, I was about 59 kg but then reached 66 last summer 😮. I didn’t like myself, I looked at my pictures and to me, I looked disfigured. I have been struggling since to get the extra weight off. I have listened to many podcasts and read about fasting. My diet was not too bad but I will have craving days and go to sweets, mainly pastries. I started to fast since last Wednesday, 5 July 2023 so had my usual 3 meals on Wednesday, with dinner at 7 pm. I had no food Thursday all day, it has been hard to control myself as I am a mother and do pack lunches, cook the meals and the fruit ball is always there in the kitchen, the sweets are in the cupboard. I also skipped breakfast on Friday the 7 July and had lunch at 1 pm and dinner. So I managed a 42 hours fast . It was salad, avocado, nuts and salmon fillet. No alcohol, just water. I am not sure if I do it right, when I fast I have either water, sparkling water or green tea ( I searched if Green tea breaks the fast and it said it doesn’t, and not only that but it helps). From Friday evening, I then had 48 hours fast to Sunday 9 th July dinner, I was so full of energy and done high intensity gardening, digging, I was so red on my face, all Saturday, Sunday I cleaned my house, is not that I could not do more than 48 hours but I really wanted the food. Again salmon, steamed vegetables, nuts. I also eat Monday ( today) at 11 o’clock so this time just 16 hours fast , I had no lunch and dinner and here we are. I lost from 64 to 60.5 kg so half a stone. But loosing weight is one of my reasons, the other one is that I just got some spots on my legs, the pharmacist said that is Folliculitis ( because of shaving against the hair grow) and to phone 111 and get antibiotics. I do Not want to get antibiotics, I know how harmful they are, I just want to heal myself, I KNOW I CAN HEAL MYSELF. Now the spots are subsiding and they are no longer itchy, no new ones appearing either. I want to be able to reach more than 48 hours, I am curious to see how the skin will look like, maybe even less weight.. etc I sometimes smile and think of this abundance of information like finding the philosophical stone, some sort of secret. I tried to share it with my husband or friends but my husband doesn’t accept the information, friends are reluctant to give it credit. I realised that this information is not for everyone. And yet it will be the solution for billions of unhealthy people, but like the doctor said “ fasting is not sexy “ doctors do not make this information available. And people are not willing to compromise on their addictions of sugar, ready meals, alcohol. Thank you doctor for all you do

Not surprising, because I'm now only about 20lbs heavier now than when I was in peak form as an athlete. I'm guessing if I wanted to get back to that peak, I'd need to finally hit the gym 🤣. Might also try a longer extended fast, like a 10 day. If after that my body returns to where I'm at now, I'll know for sure I'm in the sweet spot 👍.

Congratulations on your success! It sounds like this is working for a lot of people. However, I believe modern medicine doesn't want us to know this 🤔

This 1.5 hours of video is a life changer! I watched this multiple times, paused it absorbed the idea before continuing. I have forwarded it to all my folks whose health I care about. Now I have been doing intermittent fasting and resistance training for a month now. My cravings are going down, my BP is under 130 (was 156+), and my sugar levels have dropped from 170s to 100s. I feel better. My challenges are: I still love my food, I feel bad for my tongue but I'm trying to convince my brain to teach my tongue some manners 🙂

@@dellchica2373 I was not willing to compromise on dinner (as this is my favorite meal of the whole day) and it gave me 'hope' I still can eat. So, I finish my dinner by 8PM and do not eat anything up until 12 noon. My doc recommended me 'Freestyle Abbott' diabetes monitor, so I get my sugar reading on my mobile phone when I want. Not only am I able to monitor but also able to set the bar higher. I have started walking crazy distances (started with very small but I now do like an average of 40 Kms each week (spread)). Last two days I did like a 2-minute sprint. Food-wise, I'm eating my favorites but in smaller quantities. To me without my fries life is not worth living, so I compromise this by walking an extra KM. Further, I noticed, bananas are super-bad for diabetes, my sugar just shot up from 120s to 160s with just one and it would stay there for a long time. I started to listen to my body: "Dear body, you like that sweet, then do something crazy today like starve for 17 hours or do one extra set of dumbells". Since my cravings are important, I don't mind starving. I also discovered black coffee keeps my hunger away. With this, I can cheat my body when I have morning cravings for coffee or want to stretch my fasting. I can confirm black coffee did not raise my sugar levels.

Thank you Dr.! You are amazing! Giving out this free information to all of us! I am 57 years old, and I wish I had known all this years ago! I've been doing 16 to 17 hr. Fasts everyday, and usually one 24 hr. Fast once a week. I have yet to go over 24 hrs, but I am planning a 36 hour Fast soon! Thank you so much!!!

You are angel Doc, the knowledge you are giving is hardly available elsewhere. Just to share how valuable your lectures are. My early reports of Lipid was as follows on 21st July 2022. Triglyceride: 114 now 94, Serum Cholestrol 171 now 133, HDL 33 now 34, LDL 132 now 87, Vldl 22.8 now 18.8, Non HDL 138 now 99. I just tried intermittent fasting and changed nothing. I must give you all credit for this, you are sure changing lives of millions. I am a huge fan of you now.

Your videos are soooo right on! The Cardiologists and GPs here in FL are living in the dark ages. High LDL- then statins. APOb high, normal insulin, A1C normal, normal BP, high HDL and low triglycerides, great echocariogram. Wish I could have an initial zoom consult with Dr. Jamnadas. Not able to travel to Orlando.

RN here with an associates in Dietetics I never understood lack of preventive education. I always educate patients on importance of whole foods and eating according to bodies needs. Most ppl really don’t care about simple advice but some truly want to know. Thanks for bringing up eating according to our evolutionary level. Sugar, stress, trans fat, sedentary lifestyle and processed foods along with dead water are a sure way for disease development.

Your videos, and the other people on KZbin who are studying the gut microbiome, are a godsend. For all of our advancements as a species, we collectively know embarrassingly little about our bodies.

@@kirank53 - It takes 10-15 yrs. of being a pre-diabetic to become a diabetic - Pre-diabetis affects your heart & your eyes - Do not eat every 2 hrs.!!! - Do not eat processed foods - Hypertension is due to diabetis or being over weight - Grass fed red meat is ok to eat. Is the sugar that kills us, not the red meat - Labs have fed rats vegetable oil and they all got cancer - Buy raw nuts - not roasted - Do not cook in vegetable oil or oilive oil. These oils turn into trans fats - Fasting produces less insulin the next time you eat - Only eat when you're hungry - Eat fermented foods, whole foods & lots of fiber - Eat yogurt, kefir, saucerkrut, nuts - Stop eating at night - Dr. made fun of runners - he recommends moderate walking - He recommends vitamin K2&D, Omega 3 and Berberine - Lose weight, avoid sugar & easy on the fruits - Avoid anti-biotic - Consume organic meats - Sleep 7 hrs every day - Don't drink too much alcohol - Get 10 mins of sunshine every day - Mustard oil can cause cancer - Mediterranean die is good - they never cook or fry in olive oil. They use these oils in salads - Ghee butter is the best - Does not advise drinking milk - there's too many hormones and anti-biotics - Many different tribes he mentioned, lived to 100 because they didn't eat processed foods. - Vitamin K2 200mg/daily...Vitamin D3 5,000 iu/daily - Your liver can store vitamins for up to 6 mos. - Fasting changes your physiology - Recommends fasting 18/6 for a while, then do a 3 day water fast every 6-7 wks....everybody's journey is different
