Let's Play Path of Exiles 2 PS5 Console | Split Screen Local Co-op Multiplayer Gameplay Episode 1

Join Praetorian & Jynx as they play Path of Exiles 2 in local couch co-op, a mode not often seen in this age of online multiplayer. We're playing as the warrior and witch classes. POE2 is an ARPG similar to Diablo that is currently in early access, and once it fully releases it'll be a free-2-play game.

I really like this episode... looking forward to see more.. My wife and I play diablo couch co-op for a loong time... and we might try this one too ... looks like it has more interactive co-op mechanics then diablo which is nice.. yeah we definitely keep an eye on your upcoming gameplay videos...

wow that is insane. This game keeps impressing me more and more. They could have opted out of this as an early access game but they are insane as heck. Ill try playing this with my cousins this weekend on their PS5s

My fiancé and I play on PS5 and I’m a bit frustrated that couch co-op does not allow for the other player to use their profile character. I’m hoping somewhere down the line, when they get out of EA, they’ll implement this feature. My fiancé having to ditch her character kind sucks. Playing a new character, sharing gold, etc. is somewhat of a bummer, because this game is amazing. We’re definitely having a blast. It’s refreshing to step away from D4 and into something new. Edit: Awesome video btw…Had to sub!

Glad you enjoyed! I can understand why it doesn't allow the other player to bring their character over, since with the local co-op both players are on the same account. With that being said, it would be nice if it was an option.

I just bought this game last week. I’ve been looking fwd to a good dungeon crawler for years and this mod def is it. I can’t wait to play this co-op with my wife. Right now my two fav classes are sorcereress and Necra. The spell combos on sorceress is sick. Mercenary looks promising, so does monk but I’m not gonna keep leveling them up. It was nice to just relax and kill monsters for a few hours. Well done grinding gear games.

A tip for playing on console, set the upscaling to FSR ultra performance, this will almost completely remove aliasing and make the picture much smoother.

Yeah it's a shame we don't get to record together as much as we used to. There's two reasons for that. Jynx now works more hours these days, so doesn't have as much free time. And unfortunately our content in general just didn't get as many views, so it's harder to justify spending her limited time doing it.

The local co-op is on one account, so you do not need to purchase the game again.

I didn't even know it was coming to PS5 until I saw the release trailer on the PlayStation channel saying it was out now, so wasn't able to plan to cover the game. Not sure if we'll be able to cover it now or not.

No both players are using the same account, just playing with different characters, so doesn't require more than one copy of the game.

You guys can play local co-op together without purchasing it again, since it only uses one account. So he'll be playing on your account with you, but with his own character.

The local co-op uses only one account. Hence why you can see that we could easily play as each other's characters. So you only need to buy the game once.

Yes this is on the base PS5. We did have some framerate drops as shown in the episode, but hopefully this will get sorted out soon.

It seems that you can only use the one account in the local co-op, so you guys would need to stick to online play if you wanted to use your own accounts.

If U play COOP with somebody the progress in solo campany is the same ? Or if u Wanna play solo becouse friend its offline u must start from zero ? How this work ? Can u explain

I think progress is tied to the character, but haven't tested to confirm. If this is the case, then starting a new character would require you start over. However, you can certainly continue to play solo with the character you used for local co-op without having to start from the beginning.

I assume you can play it on PS Portal, and I also assume you could play online multiplayer. But I don't think you can do local co-op on the Portal.

It's supposed to be, but we can't test it as we only own the game on PS5.

Problem picking up items while in combat is not you. It's an issue with the game. They'll sort it out at some point. It has something to do with how far you are away, or not away from an enemy.
