Thanks for intentionally diversifying your actions to help new players. Especially since it probably costs you points. Well done!

this is everything i want in a solo game.the variability looks extrodinary.i dont think youll even need expansions for this

Thank you for helping me make an informed decision about buying this game. The fact that it jas two different solo modes put it over the top for me.

Board doesn't look as cluttered in real life - very easy to see what's going on. Solo plays quickly indeed. Played two games so far and really enjoying the puzzle. Thanks Paul for another great playthrough.

This is a nice solo version. Just like Fields of Arle. You just basically play the game and try to do your best. Can be used as good practice for when you ever get to play with a group of people again.

Having watched your video, I decided to purchase this game. I'm likely to be playing mainly solo: wy wife is from Czech and went to uni in Prague, but unfortunately I don't think this game will be her cup of tea. I've just set up and about to start having watched your video, read the rules :) Initially I was trying to work out how to have 16 turns in 3 "rounds", but the wheel returns to the start position with a different player each time and the game ends abruptly when the cube drops for the third time. Thus you get 6, 5 & 5 turns per rotation of the wheel. This is the beauty of the number 12 - it divided by 2, 3 & 4 and is why there are 13 spaces on the wheel and a different starting position to ensure that "start" player cycling.

Hi Paul. Just one quick question regarding the King's road. Is it generally allowed to take the bonus for the covered space on the bridge first and then get the benefits from the bridge tile afterwards?

Dunno. Let me check..... checking.... Rules don't say.

Hi paul. Thanks for the video… You seemed quite enthusiastic about the solo, how would you rate it compared to underwater cities solo? Cheers
@GamingRulesVideos4 жыл бұрын
I'd have to go back and play that one to remind myself. I remember liking it so it might be hard to compare.

I prefer underwater cities, for me Praga is an amazing game, but lacks a bit of variability in solo. In UC each game is very different by the huge number of different cards. Said so, having a scoring automa in Praga, might change things. let's hope someone will create it

Yes, I love underwater cities as well and agree that it has tremendous replayability, especially with the expansion… I think I know download the rulebook for this one and give it a couple of readthrough is before I make a decision. Cheers

Paul, I'm stuck between wanting to preorder this and Merv. Which would you think would be better for most commonly played solo but occasionally at 2? Thanks 👍
@GamingRulesVideos4 жыл бұрын
Hard for me to say. The solo Praga is just you playing as normal with nobody else and trying to score points. The solo Merv requires you to control a 2nd (and 3rd) AI player so it is more demanding in that respect. Personally, for me, at 1-2 player, I would go Praga, because I don't like any "admin" of AI players.

There is an official promo pack for PCR, that contains 14 wooden eggs (12 white & 2 brown), as well as the 5-card Peter Parler automa deck, so you can use the alternate solo rules that pit you against an AI opponent. It's £3,95 here in the UK for that pack.

Set up and tear down is a bit much for a solo game. But, i is a very good game.
@malixcorvin7772 жыл бұрын
It’s really not that bad. It takes maybe 10 minutes to set up.
