Really love the games you 2 make for the play-throughs. All these medium-heavy euros are so enjoyable. However, have yet to see you 2 play-through on 2 designers I really love. Daniele Tascini and Simone Luciani, designers of Tzolk'in, Teotihuacan, Tekhenu, Grand Austria Lorenzo and Marco Polo II. Hoping to see you 2 cover any(ALL) of these games! I assumed you've played them since you 2 appear to play everything good! Haha

With 2p, we set it up as 3 and use the solo player rules on BGG (Petr Parléř) to play as the 3rd player. It adds more competition and variability without adding the extra time of a 3rd player.

I got the chance to play this last weekend at a con in Atlanta. Wasn't real sure what I was doing at first, so I just decided to build places in the cities and do whatever supported that. About half-way through, I felt much better about my understanding of all the mechanics and how it all worked together. Really great Euro.

We got this game for Christmas 2021 (mainly because me and my wife went to honeymoon in Prague, and have visited the city many times since then). This video is a lifesaver! So good explanation on how to play the game! Also you were keeping it really understandable at all times! Great job! Like you said it is not an easy game to film and you did it superbly!

Hi guys, thanks a lot for this video, there are not a lot of teaching videos of this game, and this is very good, as the game is not easy to explain, so I appreciate that. We are a couple from Costa Rica that recently moved to Prague actually, so if in the future you plan a trip to Prague, we will love to meet you and why not play somethig haha. Greetings from Prague!

Thanks as always for taking the time to make this video Naveen and Monique! This one definitelt looks interesting. Yesterday I got the opportunity to demo Messina 1347 (the new game of Vladimir Suchy) at Essen Spiel with the son of Vladimir Suchy; that was such a good game, I think you both will like it. It's a bit lighter and seems more streamlined worker placement, engine builder game with heaps of combo's. Definitely interesting! Have a great week!

Coïncidence but I did my first play of Praga last night. A pretty amazing video. I'm from France and we have a youtube channel for "heavy" games teaches but this one took like 50mn. You did the teach in 20mn and it was perfect. I really enjoyed this game. In ours, we completely ignored the hunger wall and focus more on end game scoring

Just bought this one on sale, just heard nice review of it and I liked the look of it ! Amazing playthrough and you did an incredible job at showcasing the game. That being said, I am a bit second guessing my choice because it looks really heavy amd hard to manage with all the bonuses popping up. Not sure I am there yet in my boardgame journey ahah. Let's see when it arrives and it gets played!

LOL that's hilarious! Well at least you have it and you can always revisit the video when you need the refresher. Taking optimal turns on that action wheel is so satisfying.
@benjamindebetencourt15262 жыл бұрын
@@BeforeYouPlay Ahaha yes the teach part of your video is going to be revisited for sure ! It does look satisfying, and somehow what makes me hopeful is that it seems easy to get resources so even though you might not be optimal, you still do things, you are not stuck in a resourceless situation, which I can appreciate. Will let you know how it goes ahaha

Oh my god, I can’t believe this! Monique managed to turn the table at the end! There was a 30 point difference at times. I didn’t think the final scoring would be that powerful. Amazing game. I personally love this game. The setup is a pain and the board is way too big but it's definitely worth it.
@jeffhiatt16823 жыл бұрын
Visually it wasnt too bad. putting the tiles / walls / tokens on the green screen helped a lot. Much of the board was hard to see in enough details to see what options were available. but no worries. In de-"fence" of Naveen, they do look like fences. it appears the Plaza is not a good return on investment as it takes several turns to get the points of the building, and in this play more points were gained in many other single turns. Now i havent played this, though hope to someday, but as a two player games, not sure i see the plaza as a worthwhile area to pursue.

22:48 shouldn’t you have also received a point as a bonus, from where you took the action tile? You could’ve either received a special tile, had you used the construct a building option (which was n/a) or taken a point. LOL! NVM 23:15. It’s as if you heard me 😂

It's a myth that they used eggs to construct the Charles Bridge. One of my favorite games, but not sure why it continues to propagate such a legend.
@joshestes64273 жыл бұрын
This one was curious to me as I had heard another bridge in Peru had used eggs in their mortar on a bridge, but I am having a hard time tracking down the specific information. Could you point me in the right direction on this one? All I have found so far was a .com article that claimed the 2008 research was using infrared measures which may not have been accurate enough, but I was hoping for a more complete history. Thanks!
Naveen: I have all these resources, but do I want to spend them all? Monique: *glares at camera, sick of Naveen's constant bonusing* That is the question.
@jamesclease91713 жыл бұрын
I love all these heavy euro games, except for one thing. They all have an exact number of turns, which is almost always less than what I am satisfied with, and I don't like being able to count the exact number of actions I can take before the game ends. There should be some kind of unpredictable end game triggers that makes it so i can't count down the exact number of actions to the end of the game.

It's hard for me to explain, but I feel like this game is a bit too 'disconnected' for me, which is a weird feeling given how interconnected everything is. This is a game I enjoyed as entertainment to play, but I don’t like it as an actual game. What I mean is, I played a 4 player game, and it’s near impossible to tell how people are doing. Everyone ends up scoring like a million points end game and it already takes enough brain power to calculate what I’m doing, let alone others. Personally I’m not a fan where every turn you can get a zillion points and there’s a million paths to victory (euros) because I want to feel the competition and know how I’m doing compared to everyone.
