I had similar thoughts about popular Christian music growing up as a believer. There is nothing artistically compelling about a genre that requires you to only say one particular thing every time and in ways that are inoffensive for radio play. I was actually drawn to Twenty One Pilots as a Christian band because they actually addressed religious doubt in realistic ways beyond 'don't question anything' and they expressed it through rap and metal genre elements that most Christian artists were afraid to touch. I actually lost my faith because of that band, but I'm thankful for it because they helped me process my religious trauma. I was surrounded by all the generic Christian pop in the world, but nothing compared to the one artist that actually tried.

Religion and politics often make some people lose all perspective and give way to ranting and raving and carrying on like emotional children. They either refuse to discuss it with reason or else they prefer argumentum ad homeinem, which is a hell of a way to conduct a discussion. Well, anyhow, not long ago I was talking about the elections and how the campaigns were ignoring the issues and sticking instead to invective and personal crap that had nothing to do with the substantive problems of running a government (which is all true as you know if you followed the speeches and so-called debates of the candidates). Anyhow, one of the guys I was talking with said not a word in the whole conversation except at the end when he suddenly chuckled and said we were all full of sh*t and why didn't we all go live in Russia or China if that was the way we all hated the United States of America! Next thing you know, the whole blooming discussion is more like a brawl and the epithets flew thick and fast and the noise was incredible! Someone said "son of a bitch" and I think he said "bastard!" (I couldn't be sure; it was all so confusing.) Well, anyhow, I was attempting to get it all back on a rational level. I tried, for example, to talk to the one who had started it all and I asked him just what did he mean we were all full of sh*t? Was he making a statement of fact as he knew it and where was his documentation to back up his claim? I think Socrates would have been proud of the way I refuted his argument. That is, I tried to refute it. But all he could offer by way of rebuttal was more of the same: about how we were all full of sh*t. But he wouldn't say why; he just kept on repeating it. That and the part about Russia and China and Communist dupes. And I'll have to confess that I got a bit angry and told him to stuff his ideas up his * (which you don't have to tell me is hardly a way to convince anyone in an argument). Then he got salty and threatened to give me a punch in the mouth if I didn't shut up. And I really got hopped and the others did, too. And we all beat the sh*t out of Mr. Conservative. And, after all, he had only himself to be blamed. This is still a free country and anyone telling a fellow like me "brother, you're full of sh*t" better be good and ready to answer politely when asked if he'd care to say WHY!!

Anyone else find it morbidly hilarious that the man who thinks all higher educational material has been hijacked by one political ideology decided to name a “university” after himself and blatantly seeks to indoctrinate his students into his way of thinking?

The reason that conservative writing and art sucks is that being good at creative works requires you to be able to understand nuance and complexity, but those same skills mean you are less likely to accept conservative reactionary talking points about uncertainty and stereotypes. There are studies that show that conservatism and your ability to understand complex ideas are inversely related.

14:00 you don’t need any money to write. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that they actually put in effort to write at least a magic schoolbus knock off. It’s the laziest most pathetic propaganda ever. It presupposes that the audience is mindless automatons. Children are humans too and can at least tentatively tell if something is bad. No excuse, prageru has millions and millions at their disposal and can easily afford a small writing team but they’re treating their kids content like their adult content: lazy and disrespectful

The things our comrades put themselves through to bring us entertainment and education. If I had to watch this much PragerU Kids bullshit, I would probably jump off the roof. Thanks Hoots; you're far stronger than I am...also, I think you deserve a spa day to unwind from the trauma Dennis Prager has inflicted upon you.

Inalways love seeing american conservatives try and explain what life in Canada is like. At least in English Canada its literally about 90% the same culture and extremely similar history, yet somehow they seem to think we are some communist police state forced to worship Trudeau or something

Wait wait wait, did they really just tell the kids to put the WRONG GUY on their Mt. Rushmore craft? *freezeframes* yup thats an FDR dime, not even a $1 Teddy coin (which would have been bad in its own way). How did they spin that as ok? Please don't make me watch the video.

You're beeing too generous with your assessment, like trying to find the smallest redeemable thread in something that is unmistakably unsavable. And by "being too generous" I 100% mean "you managed to watch they content". I was an educator for a whole decade before switching careers, and seeing that material scares me. Love your videos.
