Praha was great for this tourist. Can't wait to revisit. Best meal after 2 weeks in the road. Pork, veggies n beer. The perfect amount of friendliness from locals. Plus "the largest dance club in eastern Europe" built into the Charles Bridge. What more could one ask for

@@Gigi-zy1kx I live in Prague. I have been to KL. It isn't part of the Charles Bridge- it is 1.5 blocks over, nor is it the largest club in Eastern Europe. It is the largest club in Central Europe.

Last summer, my wife and I traveled through central Europe, including Prague. In almost every city on our trip we encountered young British men having these stag parties. It was perhaps most egregious in Krakow, PL. At 3am we heard English football chants, and witnessed young british men urinating on medieval buildings. As an American, who flew more than 12 hours and spent considerable money on the trip, this was shocking. Locals explained that for the Brits, this was a cheap (100-200GBP airfare) weekend trip to a location with cheap booze and less accountability compared to back home. This explains why many locals were relieved or even excited to learn we were Americans and not English. LOL

It's still a mystery for me why they act like that, but a lot of people who studiet in UK or even France say that they are very uncivilised, rude and loud, I mean young people, not those classic oldschool gentlemen who almost don't exist anymore. Everyone who returned says that here in Czechia, we are much more civilised, polite and have generally better good manners than they have in the UK or France. Actually US tourists are good I would say, most of them are pensioners who really want to see something and they spend a lot of money, so they are good tourists, we need especially these tourists, not stag party people who arrive by bus, go to pub and leave next day.

@@Pidalinthey do act like this in England as well. For a nation who drink so much the English can’t handle alcohol. The biggest problem is it is cheaper for them to come here on a 25 euro east jet and have a 3 night drinking holiday than drinking at home. Spain is also fed up and are trying to restrict English tourists. Yeah. Most of my friends are in the hospitality industry and they love American tourists. They tip well and are civilized. Norwegians are at the top of the favored tourist list. They spend a lot of money drinking and eating and shopping. Apparently Norway is so expensive Norwegians empty their wallets in Prague because it is very cheap for them.

First of all apologies for what happened in the 1938 and 1968 twice we let you down when you needed us. And thank you for the sacrifice of your airmen who protected the UK during the Battle of Britain, Liverpool being a city that you helped to protect during this time. Do you know there was a docudrama about Alexander Dubcek many years ago about the Russian invasion in 1968 and Liverpool town hall was used to represent the Kremlin as apparently it is very similar inside😮. Fantastic video as always guy’s 😂😂😂 and yes ban the costumes in Prague, although my wife and I never saw any when we were there. But did see and meet very rude tourist ‘of all nationalities’ and generally the people of Prague was very friendly and polite❤👍

All we can do now is learn from our mistakes. Munich agreement is one of the most defining moments in 20th century for us. Every czech who is aware of our history understands what Chamberlain didn't but Churchill did. Tyrany cannot be stopped by mutual agreements sometimes. It is the reason Czech Republic is one of leading supporters of Ukraine for last 2 years.

@@eStoky23 Hi yes, but it’s the politicians who mess up and the ordinary person/soldier who loses their life putting their mess in order. Brave Czech pilots came to my country to defend the UK, it was a Czech and Polish squadron that prevented the Germans leveling Liverpool and surrounding areas. I have much respect for those Czech men who fought and died for our freedom👏

I've been to Prague five times, and each time I visited, I know how to behave myself. I have always been told to respect the people and country I visit. I visited Prague last month and saw too many British stag groups. As a British person, this embarrasses me 🤦‍♂️🇬🇧

I lived in your country for eight fantastic years and it was awesome. However. what wasn't awesome was seeing these drunk British tourists if I ever dared to enter Prague 1. I get it when you're really young (I did this myself back in 2007).you want to get mashed up but at the same time, I checked out stuff during the day. I'm not the fun police but did my fellow Brits get worse or did I get old? I travel a lot and I really don't understand this mentality of let's try to replicate everything back here.... The British pub, the Irish pub....etc. I really don't get why a section of British people think that this is ok behaviour. They'd have a much better time trying to hang out with local Czechs.

It's not that they get drunk, it's how they act when they get drunk. There aren't really many places they can go these days. Clubs I go to won't let them in. 1 even has a sticker on the glass by the door with a Union Jack and a cross through it. My local- which is in the centre, but not really known by tourists just won't serve them if they look like stag doers. There was a tv docuseries called Booze Britain years ago. The ones who come to Prague act just like the ones on the show.

Some of your young countrymen sure behave badly when they party in Amsterdam, too. After all, here in the Netherlands we've got legal, open prostitution, and weed-selling coffeeshops to boot!😄But I can't defend how some of our own Dutch citizens act like a$$holes when they visit other countries. If you want to learn more about Czech history, and the occupation by the Nazis, and then by the Soviets, visit the Museum of Communism near the Powder Tower. There you will see first-hand why all the former Soviet satellite countries joined NATO as soon as they could after the Berlin Wall fell. The Czechs don't want to live under Russia's thumb any more than the Ukrainians do. Much respect and thanks to the Czech Republic for supporting Ukraine!

Personally, I think Prague 1 should first ban the entrance of private cars to make it more welcoming and attractive to tourists who are not just interested in alcohol and basic tourist traps.

Driving in the centre pretty much already is very limited. The triangle of Republic Square, Wenceslas and Old Town Square are pedestrian zones and limited streets. Closing it all off would disrupt commerce.

That would be correct, they don't have to go to Prague, because we have events called Spring Break, Marti Gras, Football Games, and Sporting events, and of course the major problem of Homelessness thanks in part to our idiot President along with illegal immigrants. they don't have to. This is why we have jails...and no I have never been to Prague, but if I ever do I hope to have Valarie as a guide, that way I don't get arrested for buying a transit ticket...yes, I agree there is a huge problem, and I am sorry that you disagree with my answer...😁Oh and we also have all kinds of concerts over here so this is not an isolated problem...

British people like costume parties. They seem to need to 'get outside of themselves and to get outside of accepted social conventions. I saw a group in Ghent who were 'old enough to know better:' some of their costumes were literary and witty. Of course, there are also 'lager louts' and 'passed out' revelers. One notable gentleman even put in writing the assertion that he needed a 'good leg-wetting drunk' every so often to put him to rights again.

Just kidding, I love your vids, and don't forget that Hitler loved all the things conquering Czech republic got him, he got gun manufacturers and tanks and gold. The Czech army did not oppose Hitler as he took over. So there is some wiggle room regarding how much of a victim Czechoslovakia actually was. CR had a small army and fighting the natc horde would have been pointless after Chamberlain sold out Czechoslovakia. Just in 1938 Hitler had over 230,000 Czech Jews murdered and you don't think Czechoslovakia was a victim? Let's not forget the Lidice massacre and others.

And what do you think Czechoslovakia was supposed to do when we were surrounded by enemies (all countries around us were enemiese in 1938, even Poland), our industry was already given to hitler and we were literally told that if we resist, we will be seen as aggressors? You can't do anything in such situation when you know that nobody will help you, it would be a whole nation suicide for us. And people who sabotated V2 rockets were the same heros as actual soldiers on front! Don't forget about them, these slave workers in nazi factories were risking whole their families, because when nazis marked you as a saboter or traitor or jew, they executed your whole family or even burned your whole village.

And what would Prague look like now if they had resisted German and Austrian invasion by themselves? It would have been flattened just like Warsaw....The Czechs made the right decision under the circumstances. Difficult as it may be for a US-American to understand with your war-mongering and weapon-loving "culture", fighting and violence are not the right answer.
