@@radimsajtar5847 Also I think it is easier to get czech citizenship if you were born in czech (Jana's mom), or if one of your parrents is Czech. And by easier I mean you are able to skip the part when you have to live 5 years in Czech before you can apply for citizenship. But the downside is that USA is not really for dual citizenship, so is she want czech citizenship she would probably have to give up the USA one and I guess she would not do that.

You are so honest and wonderful. I see that your visit in CZ has deep meaning. If you really feel peace and happiness in Prague or Czech republic, perhaps good move is to move from LA there. I am from Prague and I currently live in LA (past 4 years) and I know exactly what you mean by different priorities of the two cultures. I miss the life in Europe so much, I am moving from LA after winter. American life is too hectic for me and the values are very materialistic and success-driven. But success does not necessarily mean happiness. Happiness comes from the small everyday joys of life❤️

Don't worry. As long as you follow your heart, you can't go wrong. A cliche but it's true. I've been living in Prague for 4 years now and that wasn't my original plan, but I still love it, so I'm staying. :)

I was going through something similar two years ago. I was in college studying something that didn't really make much sense to me, in a country I hated and I had absolutely no idea what I wanted in life. I also had some people pass away in my family at the time and it all kind of came to a point where I had to chose between putting a lot of effort into staying in college or dropping out. I chose the easier option and dropped out. I got a job and just sort of thought about different things for a year. I really understand how you feel. Anyway, I came to the conclusion that I would never be happy in a corporate 9-5 job that conveyed no meaning, so I re-applied and now finally study something that really fulfills me. At the time I wasn't really sure whether that was the right choice, but now I am. Honestly, I think you should just go for whatever your heart tells you. It's not like you'll be stuck in Prague for the rest of your life if it doesn't work out. So what? LA will still be there. I'm also pretty sure you can do graphic design remotely. BTW you can now get Czech citizenship extremely easily as a descendant of Czech/Czechloslovak citizen, so definitely do get that so you're not limited by the 90 days rule. Oh and I love your voice.

I was in a similar situation, and the best tip I can give you is: if you have the opportunity, try to learn and experience new things, always. I didn't regret it personally. If you have the opportunity to live abroad (even better, if you know some or most of the language), try it and time will show you, where your home is - it is where the heart is too. You will have broader view, new experience and the best is - you can always chose to return, but you will not leave all the new experience behind.

So... ok, firstly, sorry for my rusty English. Haven't used it much in years and I'm self-taught in the first place. Secondly, I don't know why youtube recommended me this video since I've never seen any of your videos so at this moment I have absolutely no idea who you are. But! You pouring your heart out kind of moved me lol. I don't know if you'll ever read this and if so, if it helps you at all, but I kinda have to say it anyways. Thirdly, sorry for an extremely long comment. At least some random people will never read it lol. I've never been to LA and I probably never will be, but I've visited the East Coast many years ago, spent my two months there and it's definitely 100% true that we in the CZ live differently than Americans. I'm in my thirties now so I'm probably getting old but for all the countries I've been to and even lived in, I will say the Czech republic is still the best. Closest to my heart. I love the tempo, the pace of life here. When I was 28-ish I had a choice to make - either stay in a different country and make shit ton of money or go back to my homeland and make less money in a completely different field. They say people should follow their heart and I so decided to restart my life here, forgetting everything I learned abroad and hoping I'll be able to start anew. Well, it's been tough but I have no regrets now. I learned the hard way that no matter my choice, I should never have any regrets. So... Spend your 90 days here. Then follow your heart. Never have any regrets. Czech republic has its flaws and you can't see them in two weeks. But in my opinion it's still the best country to live in. Enjoy your stay here. I love your accent by the way.

This country allows you that. You might find a country that suits you better. I did find mine at least.

You probably have no idea how true communism looks like, you haven't faced the true corruption like I had to, and I find Czech people nice, polite and humble. A jak se říká, tráva je všude zelenější než na vlastním dvorku. Skvělá věc na týhle zaprděný zemi je, že nestihla zreznout evropským byrokratickým aparátem.
