Like Pete’s burger shack, there is a hamburger shack in La Crosse,Wi along the Mississippi river at river park that also fry’s their burgers in water. They are so moist and delicious. Since having my first burger there in 1978, it is the only way I fry my burgers.

Sad no one ever mentions that the Ringling brothers family live in four places there after they left mc gregor before they became adualts and ended up in baraboo. Then three of them built places in Florida. In stead they let baraboo and Florida claim that history. This was a good video though. It would of taken a lot longer to get all the great hidden things in it that prairie has to offer.

I am from PdC and we pronounce it the same way she did. I've never heard anyone in the town pronounce it otherwise. At some point in history our town adapted an incorrect/American way of pronounce the word "Chien" and now we just live that way. Anyone out of town however looks up Prairie du Chien gets the pronunciation and says it the french way, which makes the people here tell them its the wrong way of saying it even though its the original way of saying it.
