@@hanakologan4862 In the original video I didn't explain why I had to take Joni with me on the trip and so I guess it seemed like I was taking my cat on "a fun adventure". A lot of other pet owners thought that was really irresponsible and left some very intense comments about the possibility of my cat being thrown into the windshield of the car etc. In the coming weeks Joni will be in plenty of videos!

Those of us who have been here long enough know you would never do anything to harm Jonni, so those other people should revaluate their own lives and choices. Canada is so beautiful and the mountains and pine/fir trees make it look like a Christmas wonderland. You are the cutest loving couple. Some of the food you ate and the cocktails made my mouth water. Also, I appreciate having some context and reassurance re Joni's presence on the trip - I'm sure had I seen the original video I would've trusted you know what's best for Joni, but it's still nice to know - I am sad that I missed the version with her in, though! One of the detriments of the internet is that it creates this impulse in everyone to criticize people they’ve literally never met. We are always very quick to defend behavior we might not agree with amongst people we know personally and yet people feel entitled to judge complete strangers over circumstances they know absolutely nothing about. Hey Lauren! I drove from Ontario to B.C with my cat in my car a five day road trip in the winter. He 100% would have been way too stressed if I kept him in a carrier so I let him roam around the car. He mostly found his spot to nap in but also enjoyed being able to look out the window to see the views - I seat belted a self contained litter box in the car so he could use freely which he did and was fine with when the car was moving as I was driving. My dad used to drive from Montreal to Nova Scotia to see my step mom, and my two cats would just free roam in the car and experienced no issues. He would leave their kennel door open, but they would just free roam or lay out on the seats. Ignore the unnecessary and unsolicited advice that is being thrown your way. You did what you felt was safe and best for your fur baby, every cat is different 🤍

Hi Lauren, next time you're needing someone to stay with Joanie (sorry about the spelling!) register with Trusted House Sitters or something of the sort in Canada... basically a housesitter & petsitter (two in one) will live in your home and take care of her the entire time you're away. You don't pay the sitter, just a fee to join the website. Love all your videos... btw you're my fave vlogger - you're very dte and a natural ;) xx
