I have read it. The soil type is same in both Bidar and coastal Karnataka. Bidar laterite stones are harder compared to coastal region. So, less chances of the cave/tunnel collapsing.

Ley Avru Havyaka kannadigaru , They speak Halegannada dialect. There are many other Kannada dialects speakers also .There is big population of Kannadigas in Kasargod . Tulu speakers and Kannada speakers are 60 % and 40 % their . Now Malayalis also majority.
