And you're wrong about PW quality control and safety standards, in place and strict, that's NOT the problem, PW management KNEW when the engine was being developed of SHORTFALLS to MARGINS of safety and quality by blowing off kicking the can down the road when a question was raised RATHER than just saying FIX IT.

@@icare7151 sourcing in the USA or anywhere is supply chain crap, the reliability and SAFETY of the geared fan engine is WORSE than LEGACY and they LIED during CERTIFICATION about this FACT to the FAA. The FAA didn't catch it and it will kill people in future. Wow how can that be said? "they lied" EASY by what they decided to LEAVE OUT of the certification report.

WRONG. Higher maintenance costs due to the un-reliability of some higher stressed components. A turbine engine for commercial applications is certified with the FAA for SAFETY not RELIABILITY.

Hope it don't BLOW UP like the oil seal problem in its PW1500G, or the High Compressor in the PW1100G. That would suck in meeting the quarterly financial returns.
