It's all from the expanded universe (video games, comics etc.) when it comes to the films the Xenomorphs pretty much stay consistent save for the Newborn (Resurrection) and artistic differences.

The crusher and boiler were from the game Aliens:Colonial marines The bull, flying, and swimmer alien come from the comics and the Neca toy line The chrysalis came from the Alien vs predator arcade game The Praetorian first appeared in the comics and later in the video games The carriers and ravages were from the game aliens versus predator: extinction The predaliens appeared in the comics, but they are best known from the move, Aliens vs predator: Requiem I'm not sure if the newborns are in this scenario, but they came from the movie alien: resurrection You said you've only seen the first two alien movies, which is fine because they're the only good movies in the franchise. (That should be all the information you should need for this scenario, if there is any information I missed feel free to reply)

A lil bit of Xeno lore: The "Drones" are basically the classic Xeno that you see in Alien 1 with the smooth head, they're the first in the adult stages of Xenos. "Warriors" are older and tougher versions of the Drones, they have ridges on their heads and act as - you guessed it - the warriors of the hive. You see them in Aliens (Alien 2). "Runners" are Xenos that are born from dogs or similar quadruped animals instead if the usual humans, since Chestbursters take traits from their host as they grow the Runners are quadruped, and can run extremely quickly. You see the Runner in Alien 3. Also, most of the different types of Xenos like the Spitters, Praetorians, Boilers, Flying Aliens etc. don't appear in the movies, but appear in the official video games and comics, and trust me there are LOADS of those

The xenomorph is a very diverse species due to it's abilities to basically be a DNA hijacker. All of these variants and abilities you see are in the lore. However the only ones seen in the movies were the queens, drones, warriors, spitters, runners, predaliens, and standard facehuggers.

A lot of Xeno forms and abilities come from the extended universe (Boiler, Spitter, and Crusher are from the Colonial Marines video game; Chrysalis and Flying Xeno are from arcade games, and the Swimmer Xenos are from comics, and the Bull is likely a nod to the third film's director's cut, where the Alien impregnated an ox instead of a dog, as well as a toy made by Kenner). Whoever made this plugged the Wiki for some of the more interesting breeds, I'll give them that.

The issue is actually the autistic fan base of the aliens series. Even if he was fevered up, the mod (probably an ESL in the writer's defense) was poorly written, had multiple grammar errors, misleading descriptions (do we really need to know that an alien variant can slice a chopper in half? Or that all of them are >1.8 meters in size when it's explained multiple times in case you never saw the movies? And let's not kid ourselves, he read up on it, he has experience in the only decent movies in the series (1 and 2), and most of these alien variants ARE terrible fan fiction tier writing by people lacking brain cells (I sure as hell lost a few playing Colonial Marines). On top of that the mod makes little to no sense itself. (Where's the queen? Do you need specifically praetorians or would the other "awesomer" powered aliens actually mean something? Is it an automatic game over or are you at least given a chance with the royal upgrade? I understand some of it is actually limitations in the custom, but at least specify if something will fuck you over and how to deal with it.

Aliens and Predators are owned by two different studios, so without an external source would have never happened. Enter 'Dark Horse ', the print media company that licensed both (along with Star Wars and a few other properties). Dark Horse is often considered a comic company, but they actually primary did novels. A subsidiary, Dark Horse Comics, makes graphic novel versions of their novels. So they had a really nice series of Aliens novels going before Predators was even a licensed property. They did a bunch of Predators novels before they appeared in an Aliens novel. I can't remember the girl's name but she and broke tusk survived with her becoming his prodigy. After that, Aliens vs Predators became a thing. It took trying for over a decade to make the first AvP movie. They are also effectively the official canon producer for a whole host of properties. They were for Star Wars for example up until the Mouse bought it and threw out all canon.

The only time an egg hatched more than one Facehugger was in the comics. There were specific types of eggs the would hatch a regular hugger, but also a “Royal” hugger as well, so that gives us 2 Facehuggers hatching from one egg. 4 at the same time, I’m not so sure if that was a thing, I think that’s just in the scenario.

I mean, I wouldn't say it'd sound like crappy fanfic considering the scenario implies (something that is also implied in Aliens) that the Chestburster adapts itself depending on the host's genetic structure. If you take that into mind, is it that insane that a chestburster that comes out of a dog would develop into a very different Xenomorph than one from a Human? On top of that, you can always take examples from other swarm aliens in popular Sci-Fi. The Zerg, for example, also change their genetic structure of a hive to adapt to threats. I haven't read all of the comics (although I recognize a few of these) and just a bit of reading and knowledge that Xenomorphs are: -A swarm kept together by a psychic link; -Adapt based on a host's genetic structure and are able to further develop said structure very rapidly. Is all you really need to know, just reading the tooltips carefully actually gives you all the info you need to know like how Praetorians can develop into a Queen if a Queen happens to die.

20:56 i know i'm 2 years late but i wanted to share some theories about how he could have done it (i'm a begginer programmer myself) 1.the easiest thing to do (and the least funny one), he could just have made having praetorian as a winning condition 2.He could calculate the winning chance of the elite team to kill the queen depending on how much infected there are and how much dead 3.He could calculate it depending on the severity and lethatiliy of the plague 4.He could give each symptome possible a value and if the value of your plague is lower than the strenght of the team, you loose (he could calculate the strenght of the elite team depending on how much survivor there are) Thats the idea i've come up with a bit of thinking, The creator of this scenario could have done something totally different
