Great work, don't knock "Cutting drilling and riveting" its a great way to build stuff and also makes repairs and upgrades much easier (useful for floors that get dragged over kerbs). One thing I would recommend before fitting it all up is to wrap the exhaust, trapping a red hot exhaust above an ali' floor makes the interior unbearably hot, i did it and was burning my hand on the gearstick at a sprint last year, fully wrapping the exhaust made a huge difference.

That looks spot on, fair play doing that on the ground. I'm looking forward to finding out what sort of performance improvement it makes.

Nice job Nick, must be so hard to do all that on the ground. Have you thought of getting a bigger garage with a ramp.My guess on the weight is 14,6kg

How are you checking the level of the floor, and how will you adjust it, if at all?
@TeamPrawnRacing8 ай бұрын
Someone else pointed out to me, this video deosnt really show the hours and hours of checking and measuring before actually putting anything together. As part of this, I had to determine a level for the floor front and rear the set the side skirts to follow this back in winter, then had to remount the splitter at a new height to allow a continuous and constant rake upwards towards the rear of the car from the very tip of the front splitter. It's been checked every single step of the way with a 2m spirit label also, and the car is raised up on 4 equal blocks of 225mm timber all round to ensure it's sat exacrly as it would On the ground whilst the work is being done 😊 Basic principles suggest you want 20-25mm of rake Front to rear. Any minor tweaks to that will be done in rear ride height.
