Mate, I never knew they could be caught during the day like that! My Nan and I used to spotlighting/scoopnetting for them on the south coast NSW at all hours of the night, but there you go, it seems tides and moons are more important. Great episode, the happiness on the ole boys face at not having to throw a heavy net was priceless!

Awesome video! What’s the best way to store them between getting them on the boat and cooking them at home? Is it just ice cold salt water in an esky? How long until they die? Then do you just drain them before you cook them? Also if your prawning at night and not cooking then for another day or two, what’s the best way to store them fresh?

Sammy,.. l told you to steam them in a salted honey and lime mix.. those little tiddlers .. 4 minutes or if you see air bubbles along the spline meat area under the shell. The real secret is to take them out of the heat and flush them in cold water until they cool down, then drop them into iced salty water.. sweet as, and yeah keep testing them as they chill down, best done with a cold beer or 2 in hand. Whipped up some Madras Curry/ lime juice/ white wine/ Garlic and oil for a pan fried bunch of 15/25 Endeavours for our wraps last night.. l think l won lotto for desert
