This is the only prayer plant that likes me,thanks for the care tips I have been moving mine a lot in search for a better lighting . Some people freak out so much when they get some little browning on the leaf tips I am fine with that as long as the plant is not dying on me. Yours is huge and so lush looking.

I paid .99 cents for this same plant from hirts garden. I purchased two. The first one they sent was a variegated kind and I gave it to my co-worker. We both had it in the office and they were not doing well. We both brought them home and they both picked and are doing so GREAT!!! Mine has flowered several times since i put it in under the grow light and I am happy that it is happier in my home. Yours looks so good and is growing real nicely. When mine gets that big, I will grow a big ahead again!

Thank you so much for making this video, I learned a lot! I’m just finding this video and your channel today after receiving my first Maranta for over a month now. I was so nervous when it started draping down like yours though so I was researching like crazy lol. I’m so glad to know that it’s totally normal and that my plant is actually doing really well. I’ll definitely have to try having mine in the bathroom while I shower for that extra humidity. I live in upstate NY and it can get so dry in the winter so I’m hoping that will help🙂

My prayer plant hates me. I bought mine as a small plant at Home Depot and it remain small for 2 years!!! Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I tried repotting it, change the planter that its in (first I tried with terracota then switch to plastic), I fertilized it and it sits on my window sill in the kitchen which has the best light in the house because I had it in the bathroom for 6 months and it did not thrive there so I moved in the kitchen and its been there ever since. I mean it is small but I want mine to be as full as yours for a plant that is 2 years old. Please help! What soil mixture do you use? I'm a new sub and great video by the way!

Ahhh!! I feel like my prayer plant really likes that medium to low light. I don’t give it any direct sunlight or have it near a window and it grows like crazy. It does like pretty frequent watering too. Maybe try backing it up from the window? I just use standard potting soil, doesn’t seem to be fussy.
