Prayer Series (3): How Can I Get Myself to Concentrate in Prayers? - Sayed Mohammed Baqer Al-Qazwini

Whilst performing the acts of prayer might not be the most difficult task, keeping one's concentration and focus during it is very challenging for most people. In this valuable lecture, Sayed Mohammed Baqer Al-Qazwini shares with us many preparatory tips that will aid us in achieving such concentration, which is a critical condition for the acceptance of prayer all together.
Such tips include various physical, spiritual and psychological dimensions that many of us are neglectful in looking at. We also learn about the significance of certain prayer acts like the Takbeer, reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, bowing (ruku'u) and prostration (sujood).

Those lectures are my daily inspiration. I am new subscriber, I am 62 years old , Catholic and I never in a million years , hear such wise and amazing “Sermons “ he’s truly inspire me to be close to God, I may never turn into a Muslim but my Heart is Muslim. Remember that in order to become a muslim you don't have to leave Jesus (pbuh) muslims believe Jesus was one of the many messengers of God, we just don't believe that he was God. That's something people made up later. It happens many times in history where divine attributes are ascribed to great people.

@@MTGoddard yes you can go to a mosque, you should wear a hijab, even though the Quran doesn't tell us to explicitly cover our hair, you should wear a hijab when entering a mosque. Also take of your shoes. What do you mean exactly when you say we are all children of God, in islam it's an important concept that God doesn't have any children it wouldn't befit him so to say. The same way that we don't believe God would enter a human body even though he could if he wanted to. Or that God rested on the 7th day after creating the earth in 6 days. I would first read the Quran. You can read it on quran.com but I would download an app

I love listening to sir kazwini each and every lectures but I would like bring a point that please don't use the word perfumes or colon to put before prayers .... because it contains alcohol but use the word attar or itr instead ....thanks for very informative lectures may Allah bless you and your family......

perfumes with alcohol is okay, not najis. Alcoholic liquors and beverages which intoxicate a person are najis.

Some great points I must admit, but it makes me feel further away from being complete in my prayers which is very discouraging for people that are trying. I am almost never 100% in concentration it is something i think will takes years and years of practice and dedication, I pray that Allah knows my intentions and in time I pray that I'll get there, Insha'Allah; Some people meditate better than others... I pray that Allah have mercy on those that are like me, that at least we try. Perfection is not going to be all of us. when I listen to you you make me feel discouraged, but I get some pointers. I think these are the reasons a lot of people do not want to be Muslims we put too much on them and make it too hard, when in fact Allah makes it easy, with his mercy and understanding. I pray when I pray and I pray when Allah asked me to pray, I think of him everyday all day and if I'm wrong may Allah have mercy on me! And I guess I do pray drunk because I get up and I pray and I'm still a half asleep or tired, but my effort is there and my good intentions, otherwise I would never get up for our Lord. I'm only human and I'm living life here on Earth in this system/dunya with many mind-boggling events that are going on in the world and in our homes or through our family lives, separating those or setting them aside at prayers time can be impossible. I will never be perfect and if I try to probably wouldn't be a Muslim. There are times when I feel so connected to Allah and those are the times I treasures and those are reason why I continue to pray even when I know I fall short. I will continue to pray and improve as Allah allows me to. Thank you brother for showing some good ways to expired to be,but Allah judge our knowledge, and intentions. My message and I pray Allah that I'm incorrect in saying keep trying don't give up hope, and never let anyone make you feel hopeless in your efforts to please our creator. Come as you are it's your journey and Allah leads who he chooses. Everyone's on different levels no one will ever be perfect and the same. Al hamdu Allah

The ring protects you from shaytan and the evil ginns, if you wear the ring and one day find it cracked where the stone is, dont be surprised that someone was envying you. It benefits you overall, and it depends which stone you use there is redstone, bluestone, etc.

Either way I dont like using perfume/cologne that has alcohol in it or is made by a western country before I pray, I'd rather use rose water, or a perfume I bought from an arab market.

@@hasanal-hussein7079 shirk? Did you really just say shirk? Am I worshipping the ring?? Am I asking the ring for help? Why do people always throw the word shirk everywhere? Please learn what the word means before you use it. Shirk is you associating someone/something with Allah, you saying this is shirk is like saying the ring and Allah(s.w.t) made this universe...now does that make sense? No. Us shias say (Ashadu an la Illah il Allah, wa ashhadu ana Muhammad rasuAllah, wa ashhadu ana Alyyan walyuAllah) meaning we believe only Allah is the king of the universe. Not the Prophet(pbuh) Not Imam Ali (a.s) and not any of the Imam(a.s) only ALLAH(s.w.t). Allah (s.w.t) can help when ever and how ever he wants. Let me ask you...why do you you call 911 in an emergency? Do you not believe Allah will protect you? Isn't that shirk that you're seeking protection from others when you have Allah(s.w.t)? Well you can't just say Allah will always protect me and feed me and make me richer(wa yarziku man yasha wa yahdi man yasha bila hisab). This life is a test, and if we can ask Allah for something and He (s.w.t) does it right away for us, then all mankind will believe and it wouldn't be a test anymore. He tests our patience, and to help us be patient and have a good life, he granted us many things, the hirz is just one of those things. Wa salam alkum wa rahmatu Allah wa baraktu.
