Blessings to you, I want to say that I fully believe in speaking in tongues as well as singing in tongues as the spirit moves. I want to ask a question regarding speaking in tongues in this capacity/publicly. I do understand when we speak in an unknown tongue as our heart opens to the spirit of the LORD can be used in two ways. (1) individually which speaks not to men but unto God, because no man understands the person speaking, because he is speaking to the LORD as the spirit gives utterance. (2) In an church/public gatherings there must be an interpreter, or there must be silence as the person speaks to to the LORD for themselves according to 1stCorinthians 14:27-28.... 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. My question is where are you in these two settings, or is there something I am missing, and need clarity? I am not to coming against you, but rather trying gain understanding for myself as I see you speaking in tongues in this setting. I find jumping right into speaking in tongues is suspicious without first being lead, or prompted by Holy Spirit, I am not saying you weren't, but it sparked me asking you this, because this is a sensitive area, and many get deceived to think we can just jump right into tongues without first connecting with the LORD, I believe speaking in tongues is supernatural that comes only as we are in direct worship, prayer, and anytime Holy Spirit will come as our hearts are yielded over to Him. We must be careful in this area, and not say all that I am saying is directed at you, because I see this a lot in other areas, and platforms, and many are drawn to the person speaking in tongues, and not to God, people begin to worship man, and not God. I am trying to gain understanding with this video, and I am speaking in love, not to tear down. God bless you, and pray for clarity in Jesus name,

Give me a break... Speaking in tongues meant the Messianic Hebrew apostles were suddenly able to preach the gospel in other languages to the foreigners around them. Not this goofy business.
@Xtremedave23 жыл бұрын
1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. If tongues is as you say, supposed to be to preach the gospel, then why does Paul here speak of tongues that are spoken NOT to men, but to God? There are different kinds of tongues. Some are to be understood by men in an earthly language, and some are understood by angels, some understood by God alone, and some to be interpreted. 1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another *VARIOUS KINDS* of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. And again, 1Co 13:1 If I speak in the *TONGUES OF MEN AND OF ANGELS* , but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

@@Xtremedave2 Maybe its speaking of Hebrew, Lashon Ha Kodesh, the Holy Tongue, and not shamalamadingdong and all this mess. But people know nothing about Hebrew, the ways that Yeshua actually kept, and believe He came to just relinquish His reign to the pope, Christmas and SUN day worship. Ive also seen charlatans like Kenneth Copeland speak in these tongues, and sure doesnt sound like any language structure to me. Pretty sure angels dont know what hes talking about either. We dont just get to do what we like and interpret Scripture outside of its original context
@Xtremedave23 жыл бұрын
@@knightofthename5469 Why would it be talking of Hebrew if all the Jews already spoke Hebrew? That makes no sense. Why should tongues sound comprehensible to you or have a particular language structure, when it's not for you to understand? Is it not God that confused the languages of the people at the tower of Babel? Does God not have power and authority to create languages at will? Or is He limited by your understanding? Since when is Hebrew a "Holy Tongue"? Is God the God of the Hebrews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? (Rom 3:29) Did Adam speak Hebrew? Did Enoch speak Hebrew? Did God speak Hebrew in Genesis 1? This has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas or any of the other stuff you mentioned. Jesus is JEWISH! Paul is JEWISH! Abraham is JEWISH! Act 19:5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying. These are JEWS receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. They already spoke Hebrew, so the tongues they spoke could not possibly be Hebrew. The JEWS first spoke in tongues, and then God did the same for Gentiles in Acts 10. I don't see how anything is being taken out of context: this is simply what the Bible says.

@@Xtremedave2 for you to ask what makes Hebrew Lashon ha kodesh means you have no understanding in the language. It's the language the angels speak (They're Names are Hebrew for Gods sake lol) and was constructed by God. It's the only conclusion you can come to use you know enough. All the languages dispersed at Bavel are essentially bastardized versions and offshoots of Hebrew (note the similarities between Hebrew and Greek alphabet). People from Babel came away Babbling like we see here. It's all good to enjoy your faith but not when it's not rooted in truth. The Word says "salvation is of the Jews", the Word also says that Believers are grafted in (Romans 11). You're just a little misguided, but were all learning.

Hard to prophesy in tongues when you're speaking a tongue no one understands....
