This new lecture series is great. They're all good The President he's talking about was Pres.Herbert Hoover who said at the end of that day he felt a very heavy weight lift off of himself,a weight that descends on each President when they take that office.A wonderful testimony

Thank you for this teaching. I feel more. encouraged in my prayers for the world. I had recently done a word study on grace. This lecture reinforced what I have been learning. I have to extend that grace to myself as well..I often fall into self condemnation.

You are welcome, Ashley. This reminds us of a line in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, "Give us grace for to-day; feed the famished affections;" p. 17:5. Thank you for praying along with us!

How the world can be bettered -- that is something upon which I have dwelt for quite some time. When I hear news of politicians or governmental figures who commit atrocities or who use religion as a cloak for human rights abuses, it occurs to me afresh: such people must have forgotten their spiritual identity. They must have forgotten that they were always God's children, the offspring of Deity, to begin with, and as a result thought they were mortals, seperate from Him. That is what produces disharmony and condones human will -- belief of separation from God. It is God's love they need, and His guidance -- not anger, revenge, or hatred. Our Master said, "Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you." A part of this includes rejecting the errors the senses try to make us believe about them, and seeing the aforementioned individuals for who they truly are -- untainted, loved. And this does not only have to apply to public figures; it can also apply to neighbors and family members. Such can take great spiritual courage, truth be told, for oftentimes it is so easy to get wrapped up in "Hurricane Revenge." Being a student on the narrow path, I humbly admit that I myself am focusing on working on this, and very deep. I figure that it is always, always better to be honest and open, and receive instruction, than to hide guilt and sink to the level of the Pharisees.

True. But we can see more of reality. Then it will appear as a better world.

The scripture says for God hath not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Whatsoever things are good, pure, lovely, of good report etc. Think on these things.
