I remember 10 years ago tonight October 21st,2014. My Gramma went home to be with Jesus. She was my everyday. My heart broke into a thousand tiny pieces. I was 31 years old, however that night, I felt 5 years old. I didn’t know how I was going to live my daily life without my Gramma. That night, I prayed the Glorious mysteries, and out of no where, I smelled ROSES. All over my room it smelled like a flower shop. About 2 hours later around 10:15 pm, my Dad texted me and told me My Gramma had gone home to Jesus. I believe the smell of Roses was Jesus’ way of telling me, everything was going to be ok. I had so much peace and understanding like no other. My heart was broken, however I knew it wasnt forever. I LOVE YOU MAMAW!!!!!!!!

Spoke to our parish priest today and he shared a gentle reminder to not pray like you're jogging and just going through routine just to do it. I personally struggle with the meditative part, without going through the motions and my personal petitions. It will take time folks, but our Lady knows we're trying to offer her a bouquet of roses. Don't give up!

Sharing in case someone else has this problem. I cannot contemplate the Mysteries in the Rosary, and recite the prayers at the same time. My brain just won't do that. Been trying my whole life and I'm old. However, I do see the beauty of it. So, thankful for things like KZbin and Hallow so I can go to one of the many live or recorded Rosaries, and I can contemplate on the mystery while someone else is doing the actual reciting the prayers in the background. Pray as you can, not as you can't.

Ryan, Thank you. This felt less like an interview and more like you and Mark allowing us to eavesdrop on this incredible conversation on the incredible relationship we have with Christ. You both spoke with such gentle humility of truth and wonder. A beautiful episode.

I say the Rosary every morning for my special intentions. Each Hail Mary is said for a member of my family then other people, the Catholic Church and clergy. World peace, abortion etc. When I recite Holy Mary Mother of God pray for a name or other intention. As I’m saying the words I’m concentrating on the words. I do appreciate what each decade represents before starting but basically I think of my intentions.

Ryan, this is a special episode. Thank you. I hope you can continue with covering the additional mysteries. I’d also appreciate your help with meditations for St. Bridget’s Twelve Years Prayer. I found The Catholic Talk Show earlier this year and have become a faithful listener, one episode after another. I love the banter among you, Ryan and Father Rich. I’m older than your audience demographics, but you make me laugh out loud. I’m praying for Jen and family and can’t wait for Father Rich to return. Thank you for what you do.

I would like to reply to a previous comment where someone wrote that they could not simultaneously contemplate the mystery, and recite the prayer. I was recently given a rosary pamphlet that had a painting to accompany each mystery. As someone who is new to the faith, I've found that pamphlet very helpful, because I can hold the illustration in my mind, while verbalizing the prayer. It is at least, a start. This practice also gives me an appreciation for religious art on a level that is not merely academic, or aesthetic.

Last August 15 ('23), I was praying the Rosary along with a KZbin video. I fell asleep. About 10 minutes later, I woke up, and the video was still playing, and I had a vision. I saw two men kneeling at a plain stone altar with a large Crucifix on it, but otherwise, unadorned. They were in a stone room, with tall pillars. So, it looked like they were in a medieval cathedral, also because it was sort of dark in there. The only light, probably just coming in from some windows. The men were dressed in chain mail, covered by some roughly made muslin tunics that appeared to reach to their knees. I could see the man's face who was nearest to me. He was only about 17 years old, maybe 19 at the oldest. He was very serious and devout. Had I just seen two crusaders of a millenium ago? Later, I found out the significance of August 15--it's celebrated by the Church as the day of Mary's Assumption, and is actually a "day of obligation," when Catholics are to attend mass. So I went to mass this Aug. 15! But for over a year, I've been wondering why two warriors appeared on this, her special day. Ask and you will receive, because I think it's the Holy Spirit who revealed to me why. I just realized that Aug. 15 is 54 days before Oct. 7, which is the day celebrated as Our Lady of Victory, and the date of the big winning naval battle of LePanto, when the outnumbered and outgunned Christians turned back the Muslim would-be invaders. So that's why the warriors appeared on Aug. 15! So this associates Mary with victory and battle. During this time, some other important prayer opportunities present themselves. From Aug. 15 (Mary's Assumption) to Aug. 22, when her crowning in heaven is celebrated in the Church, is an "octave," an important time of prayer. Later, during the 54 day period is the Feast of St. Michael (and also for the other archangels), on Sept. 29, and a novena during this period would begin Sept. 21, a significant date also because it's the Autumn Equinox. And the period from Sept. 30 culminating in Oct, is another octave, to culminate in the day of Our Lady of Victory (Stella Maris--Star of the Sea?). So this 54-day period from Aug 15 to Oct 7 is an important time for rosaries for victory when Michael and Mary will fight for us. I had another experience with Mary in 2021, this time a dream. And it also featured two male devotees of Mary. In the dream, I was walking on a boardwalk at the seashore. I turned a corner, and was in a very different, quiet, almost hidden corner of buildings. I saw a small, storefront church, and went over and peered in through the glass doors. This was a building that had previously been just a store in the boardwalk, probably not even a prominent store, because it wasn't on the main boardwalk. Inside this store that was converted into a small church I saw a big white altar at the far wall, several layers high, which took up most of the width of the wall. Leading up to the altar was a red carpet. As I was looking in, two priests appeared from a side room, dressed in gold and white priestly garments, and stood looking at me. They were very serious, even solemn. I made eye contact with them, then opened the door and walked in, towards them. When I reached them, they said nothing, so I said nothing. The two priests then walked towards another side room, again saying nothing, and I followed them. In the side room, the priests went to work doing some kind of preparations at a small altar in the corner of the room. While they worked, I enjoyed looking out the window at the ocean and the beach below. The priests finished their preparations, and left, again without speaking. I looked at the altar and went over to it. I was attracted to a small pink stone bottle with a stopper, which looked like it was made of rose quartz. I picked up the bottle and pulled out the stopper, and inhaled the beautiful scent of roses for some time. Then I finished the inhaling, put the stopper back on the bottle, and the dream ended. So this dream contained some of the same elements of the vision of Aug 15 '23: two male devotees and the ocean. Again, Stella Maris?

This has nothing to do with this episode and I do apologize for that. I’ve been concerned with the hurricanes about Father Rich and his church family. Have they been affected? I’m praying for him and all those affected. Isn’t Delecross and his family from there too? I hope they’re ok too.

SO who exactly discovered or received the information from heaven that Mary is acting as Queen there and does intersession? It's definitely not in the bible, so just where does this incredible knowledge come from? Who received and documented this particular knowledge of what is happening in heaven? As for all those mysteries - sounds entirely mystical.

The rosary contains this line: **Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope** Jesus alone is King - there is no "queen" in heaven. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ===>>> Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, *the Father of mercies and God of all comfort* Deuteronomy 30:20 ===>>> God is our life - Colossians 3:4 ====>>>> Jesus is our life Psalm 62 and Psalm 46 ====>>>> God ALONE is our hope. Isaiah 42:1-4 ======>>> Our hope is in Jesus' name and in His name ONLY. Let that sink in Catholics. *Mary is deified in this line - anyone praying it is committing idolatry*

The Catholic Church teaches that you are vulnerable at the moment of death to be taken by satan but the praying of the rosary can save you even if you practiced all of the multitude of requirements to be saved which also asks the question of the guardian angel? Does he cut out at the second you die and is free and not stay around to guide you to heaven? The guardian angel DOES NOT EXIST. There is no teaching of it in scripture at All
