For that age I always suggest that parents look into the ABC SEE HEAR DO Book Series. It is a program that uses kinesthetic movement to teach phonics and phonics blends to Young children. My 4-year-old absolutely loves these books

Love it! My twins are coming up on 3 and while they love having their own "school book" when big brother is doing K math/reading, they're happy to sit and color, listen to books, etc and I love feeling no pressure to do anything else! Also love the flexibility homeschool allows. My rising K is almost 6, but we're still prioritizing play, reading, etc. So we do a little bit of math and reading, but at a pace he likes and then the rest is all just through life learning for now!

Absolutely love all of this!! I live in WA state, children are educationally free until age 8. So whether you send your kids to public school or homeschooling, enrolment and sending in DOI isn't required until then. I'm so thankful that my youngest boys, ages 2.5 and 1, will get to spend that time learning through play. I don't plan to start formal seatwork atleast till around 6. All these amazing resources you shared is what I hope to also create for them.

I'm so excited to start "pre-k" with my 1, 2 and 3 year olds. We're using the Nature Alphabet with lots of sensory play, art, cutting practice, outdoor time and picture books. Their oldest brother is going into 4th and even he can join along. I need that coloring bible! Such a great way to involve the littles with bible study. Edit to add: we're also utilizing a ton of the mega bundles I've purchased this past year and our knowledge crates! I just realized you've shared those resources before too! I've been watching you for so long and I didn't even realize you partnered with Knowledge Crates and FTLOH😍

Thanks for sharing! It's our first year homeschooling. :) I also have a 3 and a 4-year-old (will be 5 in Dec), so this is really helpful for me. I love the crates! My littles are loving the Nature Study Club's Little Explorer Packs. I've been eyeing the Good and the Beautiful's Doodles and prewriting. Also... that coloring Bible! The way I immediately purchased two of them! haha Preschool and Kindergarten age is so fun! I completely agree with looking forward to being able to teach them together as much as possible. That's my hope for my two!

I was doing BFIAR with my less than two year old but it wasn't enough for him as he wants to learn everything he can get. So this year at 2 we are starting christian light.

With the "Kindergarten" curriculum from rod and staff abc series and learn to read because he is so close to being ready for that but we are going to start with the sight words flashcards first. I know you take a gentle approach but I am too at his level.

Your 5 and 3 sound very much like mine. My 5 is not very interested, while my 3 year old is trying to read😅. He sees the older second grader and wants school! We are currently doing rod and staff barely 3 series and it's perfect for him, very similar to doodles from TGATB but with a mini 'lesson' in them. My 5 years old will turn 6 next May, and she won't be first grade level at all. We're in Ontario and have the luxury of not answering to anyone, so my thought for her is to start her in January. We're now doing preschool, will move onto pre-K by the end of summer, and then move onto kinder whenever she shows signs of readiness, with no rush for first grade!

I will have a 5 and 4 year old and trying to have "outside play" be our nightlight this year :) I am adding the letters and numbers 3+4 for my 5 year old and then the coloring book that goes along for my 4 year old if she wants to sit in. My 7th grader is doing math u see pre-algebra so I did buy the alpha student book for my 5 year old as well so he can have that extra challenge and do math like big brother if he wants but not pushing it. Otherwise we plan to do a lot of games, coloring and crafts!

Im new to watching your page. Im learning about homeschooling. My son is only 1 years old and my husband and I are planning on start homeschooling him August of 2024 when hes 2 years old start doing preschool with him then my two older kids/teens (ages 13 and 16) did public school but are choosing the homeschooling our baby boy when he is ready
