Pre Katrina, hurricane (2003), coastline homes, Gulfport, MS

Video recorded in September, 2003 of affluent residences along the Mississippi coastline near Gulfport and Pass Christian. Recorded prior to hurricane Katrina's extensive damage to this area in September 2005. Don't know what this area looks like today. It is to be hoped all these impressive old dwellings somehow survived. Yeah, I know, it's the gulf (of Mexico), not the ocean along this coastline!

❤ Southern greetings from coastal Mississippi and Twelve Oaks plantation. Thank you for this historic video. I know/knew that neighbour hood. I also took a video log of Gulfport during the summer of 05, literally days before Katrina. I survived Camille and Katrina. To this day l am still haunted by sidewalks leading to nowhere. Nearly 20 years later and our coast has once again become the shining Jewel of the South.😂

Wonderdul video. I loved visiting Biloxi as a kid. I'm stationed in Gulfport now and I remember bits and pieced of it, but not so much. Thank you for uploading this. It's hard finding anything pre-Katrina. I have been trying to find a lot of these videos, so I could see the old Biloxi.
