I don't understand why a helicopter would be used to fly over rough mountainous terrain which is dangerous flying for a helicopter at the best of times. Was there no airfield available so they could fly over the mountains in a plane? Was there no direct road available for safe land transport? I don't suppose there was any railroad available there.

Do your research properly, stop jumping to the tune of Zionist/Western MSM-slanted news coverage of this story, and wait for the true facts of the matter to emerge. According to witnesses, including one of the people travelling in one of the other two helicopters that were accompanying the late-Iranian Presdent's flight, there was NO thick fog in the area at the time that this incident occurred. The most senior military pilot in the three-helicopter mission group was the one actually flying late-President Raisi's helicopter. He allegedly radio'd the other two pilots shortly before contact was lost, stating that he could see a low lying, distant cloud coming up (possibly fog), close to the mountainside. He instructed them to ascend for 1.5 minutes, so that they would clear and move above the possible hazard concerned, but his own helicopter, for whatever reason, did not then join them in that maneuver. A number of possibilities are definitely out there: the pilot suffering a fatal or debilitating health emergency e.g. cardiac failure, hostile actions by foreign actors in Iranian airpspace e.g. an Israeli or Western-operated drone intervention (a pinpoint hit against the pilot, a targeted collision, an electronic warfare attack on the helicopter's avionics/radio communications, etc.), sheer bad luck (rather unlikely, I would have thought), and so on.. However, until the true facts emerge, neither you, I, nor anybody else can really say with any real authority, exactly what occurred here. That being the case -- and given that people tragically lost their lives here -- it might well be a very good idea to refrain from the seemingly dumbass, disrespectful comments that you seem to have rushed to your own keyboard to type here. Think first, type second.

Hold your horses RE> determination of cause of causes. The professional hitmen or killers which are paid millions in U.S dollars know this> Satellite link override will cause deviation and jerking around path and leaves evidence. But, the fog as condensation micro particle's density of air thickness or dynamicity of lift will in instance diminish. Helicopters fully loaded are quite heavy and even if you increase trust, chopper will just go down. I know this, because I can fly military helicopters my self and those things are extremely dangerous. No normal pilot will fly in Canadian bad weather, because it's 100% death. When your boss will say fly there, then you say no, but how can you deny request from president in linear dictatorship society? Which dummy suggested to go on visit in a helicopter, which never got spare part or proper maintaince service -> in years?
