Pre-release: Challenger CL650 by Hot Start for X-Plane 11 (with the Developer)

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, this has got to be the most detailed digital reproduction of an aircraft that I've ever seen. I can tell you that many REAL AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURERS don't even understand their products to this level of detail. Just wow.

I am a IRL Challenger 650 Captain, this simulation looks absolutely incredible! After watching some videos and the Twitch stream, I was blown away by how close this simulation matches the real aircraft. Beyond the aircraft itself, the virtual First Officer, the Flight Attendant and the FBO interface are completely unexpected, and will add a new level of realism to business jet operations in X-Plane. Incredible exterior and interior modelling, the sounds on the flight deck during the various tests are exactly like the real aircraft (because they were recorded from the real CL650 aircraft). Features such as being able to get out of your pilot seat and complete a walk-around of the aircraft, and or greet the aircraft fueler at the fueling panel are highly immersive and frankly a new and exciting feature in simulation that I really appreciate. I am very much looking forward to flying and reviewing this aircraft on my podcast very soon. Great job Hot Start!

This aircraft is amazing! I've only watched a few videos to know that I want to buy this ASAP! The detail of the avionics and the level of accuracy of the flight model is absolutely mind blowing. Austin from X-Plane made a lot of references to Metal Vulcan during his dev interviews on FSElite. As soon as X-Plane 12 is released, I'll be picking up this awesome aircraft!

As someone with lots of CL-6xx time, this really interests me. I still maintain my xplane installation, but would much rather see this airframe in FS2020, even if it were simplified, FWIW.

EDIT My Bad INCORRECT ASSUMPTION From what I understand at Twich videos there is a basic price (115 usd) but you must buy some options to have what Totoritko has shown at the 3 sessions. For the talent of the two main programmers that built this masterpiece I will buy the basic as I promised but a little concerned about the number of options and theirs price. Let's see what the future will tell us!

To answer your question. I get worse FPS with aerobask DA62 compared to the challenger 650 bud and I run a heavy modified PC so just let that settle the nerves on performance

Unless the norm of addons turns into systems developed to this extent (which is highly unlikely), you wont have to worry about this. You simply cant expect an aircraft of this fidelity to be priced the same as aircraft that use Booleans to primarily program their systems.

@@squeecy9965 with base game level textures for $115? You can't charge money like that and give lesser textures than some freeware. The vast majority of your "realism" is transparent and doesn't matter anyway to any pilot. We don't need to see how the INS works.

@@zachlzr21 ... Thats what makes it study level... You can study how the INS system works. If you want a pretty plane, stick to default msfs 2020 planes, but if you want something the preforms as close to 1:1 as possible to the real world aircraft, this is the plane for you.

@@squeecy9965 you can make a pretty plane and have it functional. The amount of effort put into these things they have simulated is incredible no doubt. It still needs to LOOK realistic as well. This helps immersion in my opinion. If the sole purpose is to make the aircraft realistic, they have failed in that aspect.

@@zachlzr21 Have you even looked at a model of the cl650? Its pretty much spot on. I will say that I hope to see more graphic fidelity in XP12, but what they have presented in xp11 is slightly above par of those like FF
