No dude, There's a difference between not wanting to be with somebody because they're not your type and literally going out of your way to make sure the person you're talking to isn't fat as fast as you possibly can because you find them so unattractive, the thought of accidentally flirting with 1 is so off putting and unappealing to you that you wont even risk talking to 1 for more than a second if you don't have to. So that guy might not be super fatphobic, but he is at the very least, a little bit fatphobic, lol.... Ya know, and super shallow/superficial/vain.

I don't think that I am owed someone who is fit and looks good; I just recognize all of the extra layers of problems underneath the surface outside of simply not being attracted to them. I can't stand the fat positivity movement because it does a disservice to people who are in a fixable situation but instead become more comfortable and more sedentary which only exacerbates the problem. Lazy fat people need to feel vindicated in their laziness and their fatness so they have to drag others into the same situation. I am honest with anyone who asks me about my situation or if the topic ever arises. I don't believe someone who is morbidly obese can live a happy, healthy life and anyone who says otherwise is lying to you. I recognize my weight problem being tied to some pretty severe mental health issues that in my current situation I cannot seek out help right now. I'm not going to lie to myself and others just because I want to feel validated and we shouldn't be validating others by lying and sacrificing our own standards like they want people to do.

@@cristianiliusi3489 believe it or not but body type is not the same thing as body shape. according to science, we have a "body fat". everyone have a body fat, like everyone have bones, muscles, skin etc. Body types have their names - ectomorph, mesomorph, and endomorph. you can have different variations of them, but mostly you will fit somewhere beetween two of them. for example female "pear" is ecto-endomorphs. it means that your body fat will go mostly to the lower parts, but that doesn't mean you have fat lower part of your body, as you can have normal, healthy body fat% in your body with this body type. you can be fit, and have this body type. for example: let's say you are average, normal and healthy person with some body type, you want to gain more muscles, so you need to start train - you can do reaserch about wchih excercises are good for your body type, and which are not; it's helpfull. so, see, obesity is a deasese. it starts from your hormones, bad socialisation from your childhood (bad behavior patterns e.g. if you are not tought a healthy emotion menagement and expression, you can start later in life develop "Emotional eating". that will lead to obesity obviously. probably a lots of personality disorders or other mental health problems as well. what is important in my monologue - the body fat that we all have in our bodies, start to overgrownth because of this changes. thats how this deasese works, which, according to doctors and WHO, is a deasese. Maybe it is unpopular opinion, but for me, fat people should go to therapy, start to reevaluating life, priorities, start to learn healthy habbits, management with emotions, and start to take care about their health - thats the best way to lose weight, and believe me, it is a war with yourself, and it is more than "starting eat less and move more". thats why i think it should be considered as eating disorder, since in a lot of cases we are dealing with things like "Emotional eating", "anxiety disorders", "depression disorders", "body dysmorphic disorder" which also affects people suffering from anorexia and other disorders like that (oh, irony), and there is probably even more shit, but i'm not a psychiatrist, nor psychologist. so i think obesity is a deasese of your mind then body, which everyone can see, and which affecting your body fat, not body type. you can be morbidly obese, and don't even know what your body type really is, because its hidden underneath your overgrowth body fat. also, in some cases, it can be hormonal thing, then i think is: hormones problems>long time>bad habbits>mind=obesity in long term. The term fatphobic for me is existing, because people having those issues, naturally, have complexes of their body images and they are simply ashamed, to the point, that someone tought that term. so, to conclude it does not even exist. because... according to other terms like that it suggest that someone have fear, is repulsive toward, what? body fat, that this person have as well? idk, it's stupid tbh. it may be unpopular opinion and a long response, but i hope i explained to you what i really meant. tbh i was saying something serious and meme'ing at the same time at my previous post XD sorry. i don't know if you wanted a serious responce, but now i've explained more i hope so, didn't i? but, at the end, we live in society.

Just remember, the body positivity movement is only for women. Talk to any fat man and they’ll tell you how differently they’re treated for being big vs women who are paraded and supported for being big. Big women don’t want to date big men but get mad when skinny men don’t want to date big women? Women also have waaay more preferences for this that can’t be changed like height, but the moment a man has a preference for a woman’s weight it’s too far🤦🏻♂️ Also, that one girl also fetishized Asian men because of her obsession with anime.
@bbbbbbb512 жыл бұрын
Who cares. The body positivity movement is dumb as hell. It started as a general sentiment to not shame fat people when you see them out trying to do better (working out, hiking, w/e.) It quickly became complete idiocy, & it wasn't even the best thing from the get go. Some people are motivated by shame & others are shut down by it. It's a case to case basis 100% of the time.

Be forewarned--this story comes off as a humble brag, but I promise that's not my intention. I am 6'8 and a fitness addict with a very athletic build. I had a roommate that ended up falling for me, and I did not want to date her. She told me how she would always date under her league because she didn't feel worthy of an "attractive" partner. Then felt the need to tell me that I reinforce that belief because "she wasn't good enough for me." I had to coddle this girl all while hearing her repeatedly implying that I'm shallow. To make things worse I ended up with very strong feelings for a mutual friend. She then gatekept us and called both of us shitty and told us we didn't care about her at all. She said that the only way we could stay her friend is if we didn't see each other. The audacity! The world isn't fantasy land. Look at 99% of couples and they will be objectively similarly attractive. I found it frustrating as hell because throughout this ordeal she turned down like 4 different men. 1 for being short, 1 for being fat, 1 for being old, and the other guy I'm pretty sure was just boring. You can't be below average thinking you can get the fucking tall muscular dude. She's seen the women I bring home too. Delusion is weird

There's a reason most people instinctively don't find obesity attractive, it's because it's unhealthy, we're just wired like that as humans. Of course there are always exceptions, but denying it's generally in our nature and shaming those honest enough to admit it's not their thing, is sick. Not everything has to be 100% a social construct. Also, the US needs to fight obesity harder, there's a reason there aren't as many fat people where I live most of time (in Europe): It's not promoted and food standards are far healthier (no slice of bread with 6g of sugar inside of it, or other crazy american things).

Why would you want to try to force people to want you when there are plenty of dudes out there that are attracted to fat girls and will love you without force. *_This level of hypocrisy is alarming._* *EDIT:* Last year I died three times on the way to the hospital from a car accident. I was on life support twice. I essentially shattered my left leg and hip and got plates/rods and screws in both, broke my left arm in three places between my elbow and my wrist, broke my right collarbone in three places and got plates and screws in it, broke all of my ribs, broke my back in six places, broke my neck, and had a traumatic brain injury. And with no insurance I got no physical therapy whatsoever and they had to bring me home from the hospital by ambulance and bring me into my house and put me on the bed by a stretcher. I am not going to apologize for not being able to exercise like other people and gaining weight because of it. Try and think about what people may be going through before you make comments towards them about their weight. You have a right to a preference just like everyone else, but disrespect and degradation is something else entirely. I'm actually not that worried about my weight because my husband likes it for me to be a little chubby anyway but I also think about the fact that other women might be upset by that a lot more than I am. My take is, fat phobia is when you're going out of your way to insult an overweight person who has no connection to you, does not interact with you, it's not somebody with whom you have any personal business. I do not think it's the same at all when it comes to one's personal dating preference. He did not call her out, he did not insult her, he just knew the type he wanted to date. the contestant after that immediately rejected somebody because they were not attractive to them. a contestant before was rejected because of their profession Lastly I'll add that while I mentioned that fat phobia has to do with somebody unrelated, there are times when it's related person such as a friend or family member, that's a sad similar but whole other issue all together.

go for it !! i also used to be fat. not terribly fat, i weighed around 230 pounds, but ive lost around 60 pounds or more to this point in about 5 or 6 months and i can tell you it feels soooo good to be in shape, it takes a bit for results to really show themselves, took about 2 months til i actually noticed a change, but if u push through that suddenly it seems like the pounds start dropping like flies and every day u get better and better looking, it actually becomes addicting tbh lol. the main, most important thing BY FAR to keep in mind, but also the hardest thing to do, is being consistent. you dont have to do a ton, workout maybe 10-15 mins a day for 5 days a week, and change your diet to involve only 100% whole wheat bread, white breads or even 50% whole wheat breads are not good for you, a VERY strict limit of around 20 grams of refined sugars a day (the sugars in fruit and things like milk dont count towards this, u can have however much of those u want altho i would say stick to 2 cups of milk a day) and thats only if you cant give up refined sugars completely, i admittedly love my coffee creamers and gummi candies. eat things like chicken, eggs, fish, broccoli, rice, salads, honestly any greens, and however much fruit you want. NEVER eat snacks, things like chips are some of the worst for losing weight. if u need to snack, snack on things like pickles, a handful of almonds, salt and vinegar almonds really helped me not have the cravings for a bag of chips, and regular pickles have virtually no calories in them unless you get the buttered kinds. be careful with cooking oils, just one tablespoon has around 120 calories in it, a lot of which are fats that can inflate the amount of calories you eat to surprisingly high numbers, using a 0 calorie cooking spray or just a little bit of butter is much better, butter isnt as bad for you as ppls say it is but it can tack on the calories if you use too much, it only takes a very small amount of a good butter to keep whatever ur cooking from sticking, and to add some great flavor. look at the nutrition label on EVERYTHING. you would be surprised how many calories are in certain things. dressings for salad can easily turn a 200 calorie meal into a 500 calorie meal. never get or eat anything unless you know roughly how many calories are there. also keep in mind, dont starve yourself. you still have to eat a good amount lol. eat a good breakfast, a couple eggs, a piece of toast, and a banana is a good starting point, every morning. eat something simple for lunch, maybe a seasoned tuna sammich, with some light mayonnaise, spicy brown mustard, relish, and a spicy or cheddary thin sliced cheese. for dinner you can eat a little heavier if you want, and once a week or every other week u can eat something fun as a treat. i love me a good pizza on the weekends. what you'll find is after a while of eating healthy and in smaller portions, you start to really develop a good relationship with food, and actually start loving food more. i prolly typed waaaay too much for anyone to have the patience to read lmoa but i cant help it, im super passionate about this stuff...

IF she's a woman. An ugly man will get "bro, you look like the tail end of a car crash" comments from his mates.

This whole fat and proud movement has gone so far left that we are pretending that finding someone who is obviously overweight and extremely unhealthy....is "fatphobic".

@@aridddle it's a bizarre world. First it was being a race traitor for not marrying black, then it was fatphobic to not be attracted to unhealthy women, then it became transphobic to not want a trans woman.... I wonder what's next, cause it feels like an attack on heterosexual men.

Preach being 40 is still wild. I've been on this world for 30 years and can't none of us age like we are aging.

I've lost a ton of weight over the last year, because being fat is not attractive. Nor is it healthy. Took me a long time to break bad habits developed/learned from my family.
